i think your average tawny flies at about 35 mph.

+ 120mph in the opposite direction equals silly speeds, ouch :!:

Not such a wise old bird, taking on the R1.

I had a similar experience last weekend, I was riding about 50ish and a starling decide to dive bomb me, just missed my fairing and hit my left hand right on the knuckles - stung a bit as it hit me beak first (thankfully has my GP Pros on). The bird explosed on impact and my friend who was following had to ride through a cloud of feathers. Still have a couple embedded in my glove - a bit of a tickly ride home. To add insult to injury, when I checked my hand out straight after my mate thought my finger must be broken as it had swollen and my wedding ring was cutting in to it - erm, I had to explain I might have put on a pound or 2 in the last 11 years - cheeky bugger

While browsing the electric interweb I came upon the following news item:

Following the unexpected recasting of Hedwig, production of the next Harry Potter film "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" has been suspended. Worried Warner Brothers executives have expressed concerns that this delay could cost millions of dollars, possibly bankrupting the company.

Author J K Rowling is quoted as saying "Yar Boo, I already cashed the cheque. Sukkas!"
