I have a £5 note with Jack Nicklaus on it! WTF

I was worried in case I have been given 'funny money' but I have been reliabily informed that not only is it legal but could be a collectors item.

It is a Scottish fiver and given when I was 'north of the border'.

Doesn't he have to be dead or summat? WTF is going on here? I'm not on drugs 8)

Scottish notes are legal tender in England most shops will take it if they wont go to your bank and swap it for an english £5 note.

Same here in York - Scottish money isnt accepted in the majority of places due to the ease at which they can be forged compared with English notes.

If you really want to **** them off you can pay for goods in stamps up to about £2.60, as its classes a legal tender. Else you'd never be able to use potal orders...

Damn it!!!!Checked out E bay.
I'm not rich :( These bank notes are going for zip :D Worth less than the £5 they are worth as sterling!

The starting bids are below £5 so pay an idiot £4 to get a legal £5 note!!!

Money 4 nutin' and ya chicks 4 free.

Really? Brilliant :) They were really collectable for a while but both me and my brother got brand spanking new ones, the Royal must have found a few million down the back of their immense sofa.

I am sure they still have the option of refusing to accept them, otherwise I could go into my local and get a pint of fosters in stamps.. I don't think so.

Unless somebody has tried this, let me know :)
