Hey guys,

I am interested in buying some shorty aftermarket levers for my 2003 SV650S. I was looking at CRG (http://www.constructorsrg.com/) and Pazzo (http://www.pazzoracing.com/), but neither of the companies make them for the SV. Do you have any recommendations? Thanks,

Mitch

EDIT: Pazzo makes some levers for the 03-06 SV1000, would those fit a 650 as well?

The brake lever may, but the clutch is hydraulic on the thou so unlikely to fit.

What you can do, though, is fit a recent GSXR clutch perch. Direct swap... Though you might have issues with the clutch cutout switch (I don't have one so I didn't pay it any heed) I doubt it would be hard to fix.

Aren't the TLS levers the same as the SV's

Yes/No

The brake fittment is the same but the TLS's had a 4 click leaver vs. the SV 6 click. Either will work, just the adjustment is not the same.

The clutch lever is diffrent, but as was said if you use a TL or GSXR clutch bracket then you can use levers from thoes bikes. The switch is diffrent i think though, but not a problem if you bridge the wires.

TLR brake is the same but the clutch is hydro so no it wont work.

when you look them up in M+P, Demon tweeks the codes are the same for the SV and the TLS!!!

If I'm remembering right, TLRs had a hydraulic clutch, TLSs had a cable one.

Dear Pazzo Racing,

I am interested in buying some aftermarket levers for my 2003 Suzuki SV650S. I realize that you do not make levers for the SV650. But, I've read online that the TL1000S levers are interchangable with the SV? Is this true? Thanks for your time,

Mitch

the brake yes (our part # F-14) , the clutch no.
The SV650 clutch perch is slightly different.

Markus

Hey,

Do you know if Pazzo plans to produce levers for the SV650 in the near future?

Thanks,

Mitch

Yes we do it is on our "to do " list just not at the top.
Ducati and Aprilia are first then the FZ6 and then the SV650.
Still afew months away.

I'll keep your request on file and let you know when they are done.
Regards
Markus

So there you have it... I guess I will have to wait a bit before I spend more money on SVen. ;) Are there other manufacturers out there that produce levers?

CRG, but they don't do SV either.

Seriously, if you want to, it takes a matter of minutes to change the perch over. If you cna change a lever, you can do it.

What exactly is the perch? And where would I get it?

The persch is the thing the lever perches on. That might not be a technical term, but it's descriptive ;) I got mine from Ebay, it was £10 including a lever. The only thing that might be fiddly, as mensioned above, is the switch- but I doubt that'd be difficult to fix, probably just splice the SV wires to the GSXR switch (or disable it)

Hey,

For the SV owners out there, Pazzo has released levers for all models of SV650/S 1999-2006. I've already ordered a pair! \:D/

Short levers mean decreased leverage. The SV doesn't have the lightest clutch, I wouldn't do it.

Seems to me that on the SV the nasty flappy clutch lever is from the perch, not lever- so fitting nice levers to the standard perch doesn't seem like the best plan to me.

Is that just for the levers  Wouldnt want to break them in a hurry.

However, the std levers are about 30-40 arent they? So only £30ish more.

I've got CRG short levers on my 2000 model SV650S - from fasterbydesign.com, and I had an e-mail from Pazzo yesterday saying they now make them as well - I enquired last year but they didn't back then, but I guess they've had enough interest to start making them now.

I do like the simple lines of the Pazzo levers, but I'll be buggered if I'm shelling out again.

Mmm, lever porn. Where's the Pazzoracing sticker on it?

Hey,

The 'sticker' is located on the brake lever. Kind of on the underside... You can barely see it in the first picture.

Like this one...

I have a nice Red ASV MX billet clutch lever and perch on my race bike. I had it left over from the supermoto i had previously.

The flip backwards and claim to be unbreakable. IIRC the clutch lever and perch all in is about £80

And i hereby formally quote you so you cant delete this post :P

They do make the action a little stiffer but it's nothing a decent clean of the cable and some teflon grease wont cure
