How does this scam work?

I get a call from a witheld number. A recorded message from 'Matt at PCL' tells me that they want to deliver the radio I have ordered, and then reads some mobile number over a couple of times.
Any idea what 'Matt' is up to?

Premium rate phone number, almost certainly. Unusual for them to tell you what the item is, since you're most likely to call if it's an unspecified item.

Might want to just check your credit card and bank balance online in case someone is buying stuff in your name.

A bit like the old Busters/Ebuyer thing that happened a while back.

Probably just a scam call though, don't ring it.

Might be worth tapping PCL with radio into the web to see if they do actually sell radios, might be able to get another numeber to confirm

Sound like a preium rate scan to me though

It was deffo 07 something or other, not 09 etc. Also it was a recording - if someone was using my details to buy goods it should have been a real person.

Nah dont need those. Couple of illegals who i know work in both agencies.... and they'll get me anything i want if i sleep with them ;) he he.
