On the lookout for replacement tyres for OEM d220's

Have ridden on both Standard Diablos & Metz Z'6 & both are great on previous bikes.

From memory the Standard Diablos had more grip but only lasted 4k to canvas whereas the z6's lasted 6k ( bike was a zxr750 btw)

Prices for a pair ride in & out z6's 174 & Diablos 185 resp

I know the z6's are highly rated on a sv, any one used the standard diablos on their sv( what mileage did they return)

The Bridgestone BT014's were 196 quid ( they lasted less than 3 k on the zxr) , looking on a tyre lasting 4 k min.

Choice is either Z6 or Standard Diablos

Price for the above from Central Wheel B'ham

Cheers Steve

G'day Steve,

I'm running std Diablos on my 650 and changed the rear just shy of 12000km. The front is still good & should last another rear. The Diablo Strada is closer to the Z6 in design parameters though.

With the kind of mileage I'm getting I think I shall stick with them. Yes, I could get more mileage out of a Strada or Z6 but why bother when I can have superior grip and I don't want the tyres to perish before they are worn out.
