Opticrom Aqueous Eyedrops are great for sorting out the itchy eyes, been using them for years.

Sorry, can't help with the throat though, I've never really suffered with that, I just get the itchy eyes and a really stuffy nose. I think my hayfever kicked in with a vengeance yesterday...

Get your GP to prescribe Telfast. Terrific stuff.

Try a different antihistamine to Cetrizine.
Loratadine is the most common other (Clarityn).

I've never heard of Telfast (Fexofenadine hydrochloride, just looked it up  ) but if Ed says its good I might try that myself ! :D

Edit - Drinking alchohol will make hayfever worst too :(

Used to take Triludan but it stopped working.

Tried Clarityn that shifted it fine but was really expensive. Tried the superdrug own brand version of Clarityn as the pharmasist in Superdrug told me it was basically the same but its half the price and that shifts it for me. But I think you get it worse than I do T.

Anything with Loratadine in or maybe piriton
Beconase Nasal Spray for when your nose feels like its melting
and any good quality eyedrops,

Should ask your Doctor about injections, i had a course albeit about 15yrs ago , but didnt half help

Hope that helps

Telfast is terrific stuff, it clears you up in not time and doesn't make you drowsy. Strongly recommended.

As re nasal spray - I use Nasonex but I don't like it and only for emergencies when I simply can't breathe.

I use the Boots own-brand Clarityn knockoff, it seems pretty effective. I also got some herbal remedy for it- asked the pharmacist if I could take it at the same time as Clarityn... "Don't see why not, it doesn't do anything"

Yup, Acupuncture.... (?Sp)..

My best friend had HF really bad. Tried everything, pills, sprays etc..

He went to the doctors and got put on this acupuncture program (lasted about 2 months). He'd go every saturday (Or every 2 weeks, was years ago).

Halfway through the treatment, he stopped going. This was about 4 years ago. He still doesn't suffer with hayfeaver to this day... Recommed it to anyone. Told a women at work who's BF suffers from it and he's booking himself in for the treatment also.

Always worth a go....

How does that help?

More nose hair, the pollen can't get up it

My hayfever has banged in with a vengence over the last few days...even with tablets.

I have found a new use for flip lids...when I start sneezing, i can flip the lid on the move....saves a messy lid!

As Ed said- Telfast is top gear man

I wes in France two weeks ago, strimming, cutting and raking dry grass in my in-law's field for two days. I took Telfast and had no problems at all.

Get you GP to prescribe 3 or 4 months worth on one prescription and it is a lot cheaper than buying over the counter stuff.

I think I'm going to have see the Doc and get some of that (Telfast).
I thought I'd finaly shook off my hayfever as I didn't really suffer last year.

Took two tablets yesterday (one a day cetrizine) and still everytime I went out the house my eyes started itching, and my nose started streaming.

:( :( :(

I used to suffer really badly from hayfever and now cannot take antihistimine because it may react with my meds.

Last year I started eating honey everday as i heard it was good for digestion and stuff (im trying to stay healthy  )

Then the other day on the radio I heard that if you eat local honey it can help prevent hayfever as it can help to "immunise" you against the pollen that the bees have used to make it (something like that anyway!)

How its worked with me I dont know because I eat any old honey! touch wood - for the first year ever I havent had hayfever :D

i never suffered with hay fever, till last year.
not sure why i started suffering, but this year is terrible, i would say piriton works, but it makes you so drowsy, that you will just want to sleep,

and when you do, nothing wakes you up.
