Doors and windows open, the sound of other people mowing their lawns and the supporting evidence of the scent of cut grass.
Looking out at my own lawn and realising that it's almost taller than the dog! Apart from the small patch I managed to spend most of yesterday strimming. At this rate it'll take me two weeks!
Idly snipping the odd leaf or dead flower off my Bonsai trees - and yet spending far more time just staring at them and relaxing.
The occasional break back into the kitchen to post on here while the kettle boils for another cuppa.
Waiting for it to cool off in a few hours (and for the Weekend Warriors to be home for tea) before going for a bit of a blat myself.
Wishing I knew where in the long grass the two missing hooks were so I could put up my hammock for a snooze (and berating myself for not strimming that part of the lawn first).
The alternating sounds of snoring and pleasure growling from the dog as he either competes for the world snoozing championships or rolls in cut grass.
Happy in the knowledge that the real world can bugger off for a bit - I'm relaxing! 8)
