Hi you northern monkeys... I'm a newly converted sv junky based in Whitby..
Hopefully I'll get chance to meet up with some fellow northers at some point but at the moment I'm planning a 1500mile trip round the highlands :P . I don't suppose that any of you guys have some good roads tour can reccomend..north of the central belt.
Just a thought

Just about all of them once you get past here - other than motorways of course. Once you get north of the Central belt, all the stressed drivers get thinner on the ground (except perhaps in the Cities).
Nice part of the world your way.....
Welcome & Cheers,

Thank you for your massages...
Unfortunatly my mate on his GSX_r600 was tee boned by a myopic car type person yesterday near Keswick  and was airlifted to hospital with a crushed leg. He's out for the summer. Therefore I may be doing a trip on my lonesome. Will post where I'll be and hopefully meet some new sv type buddies on the way.
cheers
Doug
I know bikes are dangerous but it's a shame we have to expect the worse of car drivers all the time just to stay safe!!!

Find Applecross on a map (near the Isle of Skye bridge) then find the road that goes there starting from Lochcarron. A true mountain serpentine road and quite spectacular.

To get there (or back) the A832 to/from Dingwall is a peach, cruise for miles at any speed you like and don't slow much for the sweeping bends.
To get back (or there) use the A87 to Invergarry (careful the road changes to A887 you need to turn at a junction to following Invergarry to stay on the A87). Stop a few times for the scenery and keep your camera at the ready.
Scotland is a bikers dream - just look at the map and try to get everywhere by B road!
Enjoy!
Hospitality is free in Cumbernauld should you need to stop. (if u dare too)
But as nutty said give us a nudge and we'll welcome you with open arms might even tag along for a while!!
