I honestly had a WTF????????? moment this afternoon when in about 30 degrees and bright sunshine I encountered a gritting lorry gritting the road.

However, it appears once again this country cant cope with the change in weather conditions. Our roads are now melting and need the grit to keep the surfaces intact. :? :(

So if youre out and about in the North [Cumbria and Co Durham in particular], expect to see them too:

"Dusting the roads in this way protects the work we have done and makes the road surfaces safer for road users."

Putting grit on the road makes it safer for bikers. Hmm must remember that when I hit a patch of gravel.

Too hot can't sleep !!
