What you need baby is some nice moisturing cream rubbed in by some gentle yet firm manly hands. 8)
Hi anna!
Now,I could laugh as you called me 'OLD',but I won't,because I'm a nice person!
I feel for you,bad enough just riding round in leathers today, without being Lobstered and sore!?!

Hmmm!
Yeah that may help you!
And the moral of this is that tomorrow you shall go to Boots and buy sun tan lotion thats water resistant
Otherwise, feel for you. Its not nice getting sunburnt
Aloe works wonders on sunburn. Soon you'll have a nice tan.
Lynw.. your right water resistant sun cream is second on my list... After sun lotion been the first priority right now!!
Speedy .. Lobstered is a good description for it right now...
why is it you never get an even sun burn it is all patchy..it's not fair!!! I'm now lobstered and stripy!!
PH..

I tried to escape the heat yesterday. Took the bike and went caving for several hours. Came out knackered, bruised, scratched, wet through, muddy but blissfully cool.
Every time we surfaced it was like landing on a tropical island, you know when you step off the plane.....
Of course, today I had to make the 50mile journey home in similar heat with aching muscles and joints. Yeowwwch!
Totally brilliant fun though.

Caving what fantastic fun I have been a couple of times in cheddar and had brilliant fun.. where did you go?
Get your self some silk liners for under your leathers they'll keep your sun burn cool and your leathers will just slide off!!!!!

Did your Bike enjoy the caving? I don't think mine would, she might scratch herself on a rock or something!
AND THE MUD,She definately wouldn't like that!
Sorry haggis,I'm just playing!

Dear Anna,
I should have added that to ensure the treatment is complete the deep soul sound of Teddy Pendergrass would be playing in the background.
"Rub me down with some hot oils baby....."
All of course part of a strict medical approach to your dilemma. 8)

Remember getting my forehead burnt at Brands Hatch last year after having a crop for the first time in years, used the wife oil of olay to stop the skin drying out too much then got some aftersun.

oh dear what have I started???? :?
Arms and legs are the worst areas.. just in the most annoying places like the back of your knee so when you sit on the bike your leathers really hurt when they press into the back of your knee changing gear!!!! :  .. and shoulders so when you put your jacket on the armour in the shoulders rub on it  ...
This will teach me
OUCH!!!
Well I'm sending you my sympathy.......*SYMPATHY*............There you go,LOTS of it too! :smt056

Just locally on Skye. Unfortunately I didn't want to risk taking the camera as there are some sumped parts to them even though it hasn't rained for about a week or 10 days.
Got some off the net here.... (http://w01-0504.web.dircon.net/skye/skye_photo_caves.htm)
Of those we did Beinn na Dubhaich, Valley Head Cave and The Cave of Knives but it's not on that website tho. All these are very, very narrow crawl on your tummy/back stuff hence the scratches and bruises.
Went here on a previous trip, Spar Cave, this is a calcium carbonate rock formation.

Nope the worst is Sunburnt ears and a tight fitting Lid.
Now thats uncomfortable
Liz got sunburnt sitting in the back garden at the weekend. Shes been putting Chamomile Lotion ( I think thats what it was called ) on her skin she said it works really well.
2 places i hate getting sunburnt. Neck and feet. Shoulders are pretty painful as well. I always wera a t-shirt when in a swimming pool. Its amazing how quickly the water accelertaes the UV radiation. Scary stuff. Lots n lots of aftersun, thats been in the fridge, and drink lots of water.
