OK, so I wilt in weather like we've been having recently and only emerge outside in the evenings.

But now - oh sweet blessed summer rainstorm!

Huge great blobs of rain, thumping down yet seeming to fall oh so slowly. The clean smell of wet earth mixed with the slight must of damp concrete.

COOL FRESH AIR!

Sitting here with the back door open listening to the wonderful sound it makes after having stood out in the first few minutes in a thin summer dress.

Soaked.

Goosebumps.

We had about 5 minutes of it. I was glad of the slight break in the heat but it's still really humid and the roads are greasy too.
I was quite happy with it just being hot, if it's going to rain, I want it to rain properly and wash some crap off the roads.

Keith...Just no pleasing some folks at times is there? The on off heat waves in the Uk forced me to uproot myself to a place where steady rainfall can be guaranteed for at least 3 days a year! :P 8)

Absolutely hosed-down here last night for a good few hours.

Woke up this morning, went downstairs to brew-up, opened the top-half og the stable-door back door and got hit by the smell of Honeysuckle.........fantastic, and didn't have to go to work today either :D

Well it cleared up after a bit so I had a little sulk at the sun.

But it's cooling down nicely now and I'm starting to come alive! Looks like it'll be a night of a couple of hours kip at about 3am, then back up and working till 10 - back to bed with the air conditioner on for the rest of the day if it's hot again.

There are times I like being at home.

The sky's got the pinkish grey pre-storm look to it - y'know, when everything just seems so much more vivid. Like your eyesight been supertuned or something.

Come on you thunder.

Ha,ha...Spain, guaranteed sunshine? No rain for months?

Well to cheer my UK friends up we had a damned lively thunderstorm last night with superb lightening display. the skies were punctuated with a lot of cloud yesterday despite it remaining very warm.

When this storm started I got a dull headache, possible associated with sinuses? Is that possible? Due to change of air pressure maybe? :?

PH don't know about air pressure but I'd say it's probably due to shock :?

Are you feeling a bit light headed?

Cheers

Ben...Shock? :P You could be right. No I am ok today. I got up and took a Nurofen. My headaches are normally real pounding one's. This one was as mentioned a really sort of numb ache? :?

... and I hadn't got 'round to putting Roger's cover back on... Now he's gotten wet... but it may make the roasted-on bugs easier to clean off... :P

I'm pretty fed up with all the political threads too.
