Hmmm 41mph in a 30 zone and a letter to say they are going to prosecute me.

Anybody tell me what happens now and what I can expect by way of punishment?

You sure it was a woman? Ive seen some of those CPS types and they look like they've been made in the garage with power tools. Mind you, knowing you being the s3x god that you are, she was probably a stunner. Well done you!!

SP30 I would have thought, £60 fine and three points.

That's the standard "conditional offer" that often accompaies a written NIP.

Could be more if they go straight to Court rather than make a conditional offer.

I'll bet it's not your first speeding offence, just the first time it's been prosecuted.

If its anything like what I had you have had the letter of prosecution so you may well get another letter saying if you are prepared not to contest it then they will just give you an SP30 which is 3 points and a £60 fine. You sign it and send a cheque for the £60 off along with your licence and a few weeks later you get your licence back with the speeding offence on it.

Bad luck dude. I regularly do 41 in a 30 but never been caught. In my opinion speed limits are pretty much always 10 mph slower than they should be, execpt from in rain/snow/outside schools and various other situations where any half-sensible rider will slow down anyway without being told
