It stinks because trichlorophenol (TCP) stinks. Sorry, but it's that obvious

Or have I missed the point. Again

I can't stand bleach, dettol is ok, but tcp is georgeous.
All come well behind fresh plasters, though.

My mates gf used to love the smell of Petrol.
We would have to slow down whenever we passed the Esso on the way home. And she would exclaim, overcome with emotion, every time, "hmmmm, I just LOVE the smell of petrol".

Bleach is alright. As long as its just bleach. Even a hint of puke mingled in with the bleach is a whole differant kettle of fish.

The worst smell known to mankind though, is fresh popcorn. With butter. Jesus. Christ. My stomach turns. It heaves about the place, and I have to get some fresh air.

I dunno about the worst smell, but one that always turns my stomach is the strong coffee smell you get out of the back of catering coffee machines.

I don't mind the popcorn smell and I used to like the smell of petrol, but after accidentally swallowing a bit when syphoning went wrong, I can't stand it.

I dunno, the north side of Dublin smells... em, distinctively up by Guinnesses on the right days. I sort of like the smell. In a perverse sort of way.
