Has anyone flown out of Luton. I have a flight from here and wanted to know if there is secure parking for bikes?

Gatwick is ok as parking is in the secure carpark so I usually park here. Heathrow is rubbish as most bikes park in the open under the departure ramp next to Terminal 1. I havent flown out of Luton yet so not sure if i should ride or take the train or bus??

Cheers,
Grant

Last time I was in Luton I had a chat with the NCP lads, there is free bike parking in the short stay carpark, haven't used it myself yet but will soon.

Its a little tricky to find. As you approach the short stay there is the NCP offices to the right of the entrance (they are not used anymore), in front of it is a wide bit of pavement with a roof over it. You want to ride up over that pavement (under the roof) and down the right hand side of the ncp offices, there is a wee ramp in both places to get you up and off the pavement. The bike park is behind the NCP offices.

As to whether its safe, well the NCP offices are still used by the lads on their tea break so it is a busy spot, you could probably chain your bike to the fence too. But then again I've left my bike loads of times at Heathrow and Stansted and never worried about it so my definition of safe is not the same as yours..

As for the answer to your question, I think Kylie answered it. I don't know....

I do know it's quite safe though. The car parks etc.. are very well guarded..
