I'm not going to Kinross because this year's bill is rubbish... Really can't be bothered even dedicating 2 days of my life to it, let alone paying money for it and missing other stuff that should be more fun...

Are you going to be OK for a one-day thrash down, or are you going to break the trip?

Blue Flame

Are you going to be OK for a one-day thrash down, or are you going to break the trip?

The back and wrist seem to be holding out OK so I have just taken the Friday off with the intention of riding down that day. I'll just keep focussing on the beer at the campsite

As a precaution I have taken the Monday off just in case i'm enjoying myself so much that I forget to go home on the Sunday.

Was intending to set off 'fairly' early on the Friday so that I am not having to thrash it all the way down the motorway and so that I can get my tent pitched before the beer confuses things.

Ooh, early, don't like the sound of that.

Thought you might say that.

What time were you thinking about?

I'll bang it into the autoroute tomorrow and see what it comes up with.

Thinking? It's too early for that yet ;) But I'm thinking 10 oclock as an earliest, burn a tank before lunch...

It's possible I might not stick entirely to the posted speed limit as well, that's worth mentioning- I'm not sure where you stand on that, I won't be doing ridiculous speeds but there's no chance I'll stick at 70 when the roads allow it...

Sounds like the start of a plan. I'll check out the route and the times tomorrow.

When did I say anything about sticking to 70  There's leisurely and there's leisurely.

You never know, you might have been one of these non-criminal types...

The actual route there, if all you want to do is get there, is a piece of cake. I think it's M64 and M6, and that takes us almost all the way. Very boring, however.

Take an umbrella  Grant if you haven't got a back protector yet, look at getting one with a built in kidney belt like the the Knox Contour (http://www.biker247.com/news/2019.asp). I have been riding with a kidney belt since I first started riding, with a back protector over it. I now have one of these which I wear everyday. The kidney belt will provide extra support for your back and stop you getting pain on long journeys.

Here is a proposed route down.

Route starts at the Edinburgh bypass at the A7 @ 10AM.

I have built in a couple of hours for fag / fuel stops etc. A bit boring for the middle section but the start and end should be OK.

I could have planned it for non-motorway for just about the whole way but I suspect that we would have to leave too early to do something like that.

SV Ecosse Southbound Adventure AR06 (http://mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/gran****son/AR06.htm)

Seem OK ?

Ribs are ok (except for the time I made the mistake of sneezing!), it's my shoulder that I landed on that is giving me grief. I'm getting some acupuncture on it on Thursday. I might have to go get physio on it too :( On the other hand, last time I went for physio, the therapist was well tasty

Hope you all have fun and stay on, it's not a race

You'd better be back at work, you've been spotted in HG ;) (you weren't stealing bits off the Ninja that's always parked outside I hope)

Scooby Drew

I'm booked off until after Knockhill  I was just paying respects to my fans

Some of the nice NINJAS came down yesterday and knocked the bike into shape, I just need to do something about the plastics :? I was even thinking of street fightering it 8)

Anyone want a slightly used ZX, only 20k miles on the clock?
