Any advice on which chain / lock to get for the bike :?:
Had a mishap with mine yesterday http://forums.sv650.org/viewtopic.php?t=40660
and need a new one. saw a site a few weeks ago that showed how good theirs was ie chopped through all the rest with bolt cutters but cant find it again.

I went for a 1.2 metre Squire SS50 lock and chain and a Motrax Vishas disk lock as they were both recommended by Ride magazine. I bought online from PJB security as at the time they included a free sold secure gold floor anchor. They seem to be charging an additional 15 quid for that now. Both fit under the seat on the SV as well.

I've got a Squire. Seems hefty enough. My bike is garaged overnight so I just wanted an extra level of protection rather than the gold standard dogs danglies of chain.

If you really want a good chain, Then from what I have read an almax chain is the thing to have.

Have a look here.

I've got the same (good old Ride) but I was worried about putting just the disk lock under the seat - didn't want it moving around and bumping into the fuses etc that are under there. Is it really OK to put them both under?

Also, what do folk chain their chain to? Front wheel, back wheel? Can't seem to find anywhere on the frame - mind you I've only had it two days, don't want to scratch it :)
