right then lads and lasses.. the plan is to go down to Cheddar and Wookey Hole caves a bimble along nice roads there, walk round the caves.. a spot of lunch and a nice bimble back.!!

Route is to follow shortly we will be leaving at a leasurly afternoonish 12ish time (after i have done a few odds and sods on the bike).

More the merrier and it would be nice to see out the lesser spotted SV forum goers out and about.. come on the sun is shinning and you know you want to!

Sorry for the short notice of it all but you know us lot a little too laid back sometimes when it comes to forward planning!! (and at least we have a plan this time!)

.. so what say ye?

I guess I might have a window in my hectic schedule to fit this one in

Need a place to meet up, Any suggestions? In the past we've used Morrisons at Cribbs. I guess this is as good a place as any, say 12:30 (added half an hour for the odds n sods work just in case  )

OK I'll suggest a route. From Morrisons head south and hop on the A38 then head down the A371 that 'should' take us towards Cheddar, signed Wells if I recall .

Stop at the caves to stretch the legs n have a look around. There's a pub :D on the A371 near the caves that we could get some food in although it might be busy. Pop into Wooky hole after that.

We could bimble on through Wells to Shepton Malletand either catch the A37 back in towards Brizzle or carry on on the A361 past Frome then up the A36 twards Bath to pick up the A46 then A420 back to Brizzle.

Just thought off the top of me head

Anyone want to volunteer to lead this one? :)

Failing that, we could play Scrabble or do something dull like mow the lawn (needs doing I know :) )

Just a thought (apologies accepted, I don't have that many) there's a good pub that does good food (well I liked it) at the Bathhampton Mill, by the river. To get to/from it its a toll bridge of about 50p if I recall. Not sure if they charge for bikes. It's off the A36 on the way back and would be a good pit stop.

OK, we met up at Morrisons, well Mac99? (really tempted by the zed, good choice) and I did. As anticipated Anna and Valleyboy arrived a tad later following a complete clean (I joke not) of Annas' chain and it is real gold  (thats Annas' bike by the way) and oil change.

A few other oddities n ends about the bike were discovered that brought a black cloud along.

After deciding and trying a few routes that ended up dead ends cos the roads were closed due to non motorised things and a fantastic view of inner city Bristol we got to Cheddar, Stretchie met up with us there.

A slightly shortened blat back proved the sensible one as the clouds gathered and wet on err.... well me anyway on the way back to Nam. Hope the Brizzle bunch stayed dry.

A pretty good day I guess. Hope everyone got back OK.

well we stayed dry and got back to bristol to have a bite to eat and then we decided to go to Abergavenny on those lovely twisty roads however a couple of miles short of our destination it started to bucket it down followed by lovely lightning across the skys..

I decided that i had at that point had enough and we headed back home!!.. gloves are still drying out today!!
