I have for sale a blue 2001 (51) Suzuki SV650s which has covered 22500 miles. I have owned it for a couple of years and ensured that it has been meticulously looked after. It has a full service history.
The bike is totally standard apart from a rear hugger and seat cowl. I still have the original seat.
Firstly the bad bits
- There is a small crack around the front nearside indicator where it was knocked by some one walking past it on a ferry. As you can see from the photo it isn’t noticeable unless you are looking for it.
- There is some slight pitting around the forks as with all SV’s. This isn’t too bad though.
The good bits
- It has had an Izumi chain and sprockets recently fitted.
- The back tyre is nearly new (Bridgestone BT 020)
- The chock cable was recently replaced
- A new air filter was recently fitted
- Security includes a Data Tool alarm/immobiliser and Alpha dot
- Recently fitted front brake pads
Outside of the services I have regularly changed the oil and filter. I have been keeping a log of the mpg since last year. Generally I get 57 – 58 mpg. This is from riding on a combination of town roads and short dual carriageways. If I use it on a longer run on open roads then I get 65 mpg. The engine is immaculate. I only ever use Shell Optimax so I know the cleaning agents are keeping it in A1 condition. I keep it garaged and only try to use it in dry conditions, although I have been caught out in the rain a few times!
Also included are two sets of keys and two alarm fobs.
I am only selling this bike as I am buying a new bike from a friend which I have wanted for ages. The SV has never let me down and has been a joy to ride and own. I’m sure whoever buys it will be extremely happy.
I'm asking £2300.
