How much do you reckon I’d get for it?
I know over £2k but by how much I don’t know.
Built by me over the last few weeks, I’ve got the finishing touches to put on it. These bits always take long!!! Will service before release to new owner for free.
Before those eagle eyed members tell me that bits I’ve described aren’t on the bike its because there still in their boxes!! But they will be fitted!
:)
What do you think?

no idea on price, the only thing i know is i want it.
fancy a px for a very plain red naked sv?
Cheers
Alex
Not sure on price but your right as in over 2k, great job on it by the way, got any other pics of it
I've got a picture diary to show it's creation,
over 150 at last count!!
Just needs to do some tidying up then I'll publish them.
If I can I'll do a webpage as well.
New owner will of course get a copy for free!!

You didn't mention what year it was or how many miles.
Don't shoot the messenger, but stock bikes are always worth more than modified ones. Also guys who like modified bikes generally want bigger engines. If one of them was buying a bike for the missus you could be lucky...
V registered 2000 model,
Got 19K on the clock.
Not Shooting, but you'd pay more for a bog standard naked SV than a modified one?
Interesting, I know what you mean but...

If I don't get enough interest in selling then I'll keep it - I don't mind either way!!
I know what you mean about a bigger bike but I've got a GSXR750 that I'm now starting to build so that is the bigger bike! Around town though, SV's are ACE!! :D
Bike for your missus, I'd hate to throw your relationship on the rocks from all the time she'd spend on it!! 8)
:)
Wowee!!
That's a cracking bike Ter. =P~
If you're not desperate to sell then it's a good idea to aim high for a while first, Say £2300 or so.... The extra cash you might get would come in handy on the other project, yeah?
Yeah that was going to be my Ebay reserve price,
we'll see how it goes.
For my other project I've got pretty much all the bits I need. I reckon it might her the road in October or so - taking my time with that one!
This one took me about five weeks (ish) and few evening per week,
Not bad for a first attempt at bike building (frame frame up that is)

Just out of interest, why did you start with a faired bike? Was it because you already had it?

Spot on,
Frame was going cheap so thought I might as well. Had so many spares from my old SVS which I have since sold. That said - there are so many faired bikes around - not that easy to be different... With a naked bike I thought I could have more scope for modification.
I've never had a motorbike with wide bars - worth a try I thought.
Initially the build was going to be a stunt bike but then I started getting a little carried away...
My next project is a GSXR750 road racer, after that maybe I'll try a stuntbike or chopper!!

OOps, it's all down hill from now  . Looks like you have been infected with MOD bug  .
Me like it very much  .
Any chance of a front view of the head light. Price as well if you don't mind.
All that is left now is for you to spend a couple of hours cleaning the downpies :P
Cheers
Ben

Been slowly modding cars for years now. My first wasn't that stock either!! But when you start with

Then the sky (or rear light as I found out doing a wheelie) is the limit!!
I'll post a link up here later tonight which has more up to date pics.

Just out of interest, where are those headlights from?
headlights are some aftermarket streetfighter jobbies...
Got them off ebay, look and work really well!
Lights are incredibly bright!
:)
Nice looking bike - with all those extras I am guessing £2300 would be a good price :)
Pity there isnt much you can do with all that wiring beneath the headlight - it kind of spoils the look from the front...
Wiring?
Watch this space...
I'll maybe tuck it into a Red bull can or something equally as tacky!!
Actually I think I am referring to the pictures with the lights on which I am guessing are a work in progress as this...

looks much better! Sorry!

Yep, that's really nice. It was the amount of attention-to-detail work an all-black bike needs that put me off doing that, but you've made it look magic. Preferred it with the round headlight though :)
So, did you build that up from a frame and spares, rather than strippign and rebuilding a whole bike?
Well I had a faired 'donor' bike and thought I'd wake it up a little bit.
I've never had a naked bike so thought I'd give it a go and then I got a bit carried away, like I said above - it was going to be a cheap runaround stunt bike...
As for the headlight, I know what you mean. I thought about keeping it stock, but then I got an idea in my head...
Problem I had was that most streetfighter style bike either hav one big round headlight or two small ones, wanted to stick out so I bought the 'beautfully ugly, but astonishingly efficient' headlight.
Looks great at night with just the circular halo on, Halogen light are incrediblt bright when it comes to lighting up the road too!!
Don't really want to sell it now...
Must figure out a way to tell the misuss..
