K5 Solo Seat (Red)

As the title says, I'm looking for a solo seat for my SV because I want to make it look a bit sportier and I'm fed up of taking people on the back. :p

If anyone has one that will fit my bike and is RED then please let me know.

Pop down to your local dealer and order a pukka Suzuki one, at £42 they're probably the best value part that Suzuki do :P

Suzuki.co.uk actully does not list a solo seat conversion for the SV650S in Red but i am sure that the seat on the 1000 and the 650 are the same. Its listed for the 1000 as part number 45500-16861-YU7. YU7 is pearl crystal red so I reckon it will fit. Its £42

Had a look, and you're right on the price. I thought it would be the same price for a k5 as the k6, but luckily it isnt. :)

Do most dealers have them in stock or are they an order in item?

You will hav to order one as virtully no suzuki dealer will stock one. Should only take 2 days to arrive though.

Right, one of my dealers quoted me the £42 but said he couldn't find a red one.

The other quoted me £100 and the other one hasn't rung me back yet.

This is turning into such a headache for a little bit of plastic. :evil:

Can anyone verify that the 1000 seat fits the 650? The gixxer 1000 one does oddly enough, so hopefully the SV one will too. :)

EDIT: Also, is this the metallic red as far as anyone can tell? Because the k5 has metallic paint whereas the k6 does not.

Yeah mate it is YU7 is the paint code thats the K5 red the K6 (flat red is a diffrent code). I have checked the part numbers for the seat cowels for 1000s and 650 in blue and copper there the same so the part number I gave you should fit the 650. When I have got some spare cash I am going to order one for my bike.
