View Full Version : How easy is it to replace the clutch cable

Hello,
This will need doing soon on my bike, how easy is it to do yourself, I am fairly mechanically minded, doing all my own servicing except major engine stuff but never done it.

Piece of cake. Nothing more complicated that doing it on a pushbike.

Before replacing the cable, adjust the clutch first, then when fitting the new cable, fit so that you have the correct adjustment at the lever without changing the clutch settings.

Should be good to go then.

Also, and apologies if this is too obvious ;) But attacg the new cable to the old one and pull it through, this puts it in the right place in seconds.
