Right, On Wednesday night I got woken up to some noise coming from the gap between mine & my neighbours house.
I got out of bed & looked out of hte window but couldn't see anything.
We've got a huge metal door that's always locked so I figured that my neighbour had just got back late from "wherever" and was putting his mountain bike away.
Checked my alarm clock it was 1.20am. As he's got kids I figured that was a bit late so I had another look & still couldn't see anything. The only thought that crossed my mind was maybe they're setting off somewhere for the school holidays & getting an early start. (at 1.20 am this madeperfect sense!).
Spoke to my neighbour today. Seems that someone stole one of their mountain bikes on Wed night/Thurs morning.
Bugger, I could have stopped this.
Now the question is, and this is bearing in mind Nutty Tart's attempted theft:
Should I tell my neighbour I hear something yet did nothing? (although to be fair I did look out my window twice locating a) my mobile phone b) my digital camera just n case it was trouble)
My neighour does look out for my bike from time to time & if I say I did nothing then maybe she won't in future.
When she mentioned it earlier I just feigned ignorance thinknig that there's nothign that can be done about it now....
