Thanks for the input to my previous thread about moving from a Hornet to an S, I've done the deed today and put down a deposit on a blue K6 S. I've gone for the fairing lowers but wondered about the Suzuki seat cowl, £66 I think. Am I better off going 'after market' or, for the few quid I'll save, is oem best for quality, colour match etc.
I'm sure I'll be back for more advice once the S is actually in my garage.

that sounds like quite a good price. i got a colour coded one from pyramid and im sure it was about £70 and that was a few years ago oh no wait im thinking of undertray thing sorry ignore me
Last time I lookede the list price from a suzuki dealer for a pointy seat cowl was £42 - £66 sounds like they are having a giggle

To say seat cowls are £42 is wrong.
They are NOW £66. Atleast for the K6.
Now they guy would be thinking the dealer is trying to rip him off [-X
Cheers

im near sure i paid 70 for my k4 black and had a 2 month wait well worth it though havent seen an aftermarket cowl that looks good

Quite correct. For the K3 K4 K5 they still show as £42, however the new K6 ones show as £66.

However the usual disclaimer applies, prices can change without notice etc. so they are what they cost you at the end of the day.
My 2p is that the suzuki seat cowl is a good looking piece of kit that matches the styling of the bike well, and is worth at least £66 of anyones money ;)
I have a curvy and suzi are charging £76, anyone recommend a good aftermarket one for less? - my bike is in red,
Cheers

It' in the garage - big thanks to Adam and Richard at Drayton Croft, Hinckley.
I was expecting to have to spend some time 'adapting' from the Hornet but the SV is just so easy to ride. 40 miles in a thunder storm probably isn't the best introduction to any new bike but it's already looking like a good move. :D
