I'd agree that most of the new ones have been good, tho I think there have been a few duffers.
I thought Christopher Eclestone was excellent - I've thought he was good in lots that he's done, incl all the Russel T Davies pieces (2nd comin was very good), but the new guy is starting to grow on me.

what....the twist at the end of the episode..or the fact that billy piper is leaving
the episode......
I knew billy was going, tbh i think its about time... is this the only time an assistant has had 2 doctors.
P.s. I love this doctor  I didn't think anyone would be better than chris but he had me from the christmas special

im sure there has been one occasion where an "assistant" was around when the doctor regeneration thingy took place...could be wrong but i think it was sara jane smith when tom baker took over from john pertwee
or can anyone else enlighten me/us accordingly

the only thing that spoilt the whole new series is that with todays computer wizadry why did they not do the whole dr changing thing from the old to the new one?

Yes, I thought that as well.
Maybe moving from Chris to David was too big a job...
I love a good baddie in a film/tv. I think I may start a thread about best baddies...

nearly pooped my pants when i heard the daleks. they always terrified me as a kid with John Pertwee as the best doctor.
used to go to bed and hide under covers til i fell asleep. still to this day i hide undercovers and lay still if i cant sleep pretending daleks are at the bottom of the bed ready to exterminate me.
even scarier now they can get up stairs

Daleks AND Cybermen... can't get much better than that unless they manage to bring back the Sea Devils as well.
Wife had only just emerged from behind the sofa after being too scared to watch the dismal finale of that travesty of a W*rld C*p f**tb*ll match.
Oh yeah, got married again a couple of weeks ago (but had set video to record the adventures of the good Doc while we were away :) )
I'd like to be the first to say....
CONGRATULATIONS on your wedding!!!!
All the best for the future!

Yeah I thought this episode was excellent,The ending was awesome! The Daleks,I think were/are the best enemy,I was like "YES!!! Daleks!!!" when the sphere opened!
The best recent Dalek eppisode was with Chris Eclestone, where the Dalek had been found and held by the American bloke who was collecting Alien artifacts, and they were trying to open it up,and it kept screaming! THEN it saw the Dr and it woke up!!!!! SUPERB!!!!!

Yup, cried my eyes out!!!
I cried too! V.Sad!
When I first heard that Doctor Who was coming back, I wasn't totally convinced it would work. MY Doctor's had been Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker, and perhaps it was my age then, but Colin Baker et al just didn't do it for me. I also remembered that dreadful one-off the Beeb made with Paul McGann as the Doctor.
Then, when I heard that Billie Piper was going to play the assistant I thought 'Well, this IS going to be rubbish, but I'll give it a go'
Billie Piper was brilliant..................and so have been both Doctor's. I hope the new assistant will grow on me as much as David Tennant has when he took over as Doctor, but Billie is going to take some beating!

Luv your avatar - Had a pet seagull myself called him Percy the Gull and taught him to fly.
On the subject of Dr Who, agree with you about the Daleks and Cybermen. Didn't think all the episodes with the new Dr Who were very good and began to lose interest, until the final two episodes. BRILLIANT, SCARY, NERVE-WRACKING, FUNNY, etc, etc.

When the orb thing opened - brillaint!
And then the "Timelord technology" was revealed - again, brilliant.
Some of the conversation between Daleks and Cybermen was pretty cheesy tho...

SO, that was the end was it?
I missed most of it because of ab loomin phone call I had to take!!
BOTH times it was on!!
How bad is that!!!?
I was very sceptical about it being brought back, DR WHO, but I must admit there have been some good episodes. Just enough tongue in cheek to enjoy them.
NUTTY TART!! You need someone to protect you from the Daleks?!
LOL
