Does anyone have any ideas on uprating the forks on my 2001 SV650S? Do any other Suzi adjustable forks slot in without too much hassle? :help:
no replacement forks that are just a swap, best route is better springs and oil, or get cartridge emulators or go for a full GSXR front end swap.

Cheers for that. On 11/6/06 I had an altercation with a Next 7.5 ton truck which left the front end being held on by only the brake lines! And me with a broken scaphoid which has now been pinned!! BEWARE OF THE CAMBER ON CORCKSCREW HILL IN WINCHGATE HILL!! It nearly took my mate out as well!
Yep, funny how static road surfaces and corners can almost destroy bikes being ridden sensibly....
Do a search, front end conversions have been done to death.....

CBR600F? ISTR they fit relatively easily, apart from being about 2 and a half inches too long.
Myself, if I had an SV with no front, I'd probably GSXRise it- but that would depend, to some extent, on what bits are reusable.

Yep but would the CBR conversion not also need a new wheel/calipers/axle/speedo/front mud guard etc....???
I'm doing the SRAD 750 front end conversion here's a list of what I'm using!!!
1998 SRAD 750 forks
SRAD 4 pot tokico calipers
SRAD upper & lower yokes with sv stem pressed in
TL1000 front wheel and discs
TL1000 mudguard
TL1000 spindle
TLS1000 clip-ons
Got all this from mr and mrs sv off the forum for sale section, But if you have a look on EBAY you can get all the bits you need on there!!!!!
ps also fitting a BANDIT1200 rear wheel to give me a 180 section rear 8)

Why bother with the SV stem changeover, just change the top bearing, the stem is lighter on the SRAD yokes.
the yokes where already done when I bought them!!!!

I think it can be done with the SV wheel and posisbly discs. But it does save you the yokes. I wouldn't do it myself, just mentioned it for completeness.
