We're right in the middle of an excellent one - power will no doubt go off shortly!

Ride safe out there in the Midlands...

Had thunderstorm after thunderstorm since 6am here, and it's not stopped raining inbetween. On about storm number 6 right now.

It's certainly made it cooler :D

Was absolutely hammering down here this morning.

Took the morning off to go to the kids sports day at school but it was cancelled :(

However, rain stopped and sun coming out now........just in time for me to go to work

Still, the garden looks a bit greener already :D

Driving into work (OK I was in the car  ) at 6:30 this morning down the M4 I had a fantastic lighshow. The radio was barely working. Plenty of sparks, great fun. Don't think I'd have enjoyed it quite so much on the bike though.

Hope the weather will get better as I'm riding to Plymouth tomorrow......don't fancy getting soaked :(

Pray for me!!! :)

So, last time I booked a wheelie school it was cancelled due to rain. So I re-organised for yesterday, and there's thunderstorms...

Who reckons God's trying to tell me something?

Don't worry: I start a 9 day straight work shift tomorrow, so it's guaranteed to be hot and sunny. I'm thinking of arranging something with Thames water where they pay for me to organise wheelie schools, track days and other fun outdoor activities for myself to ensure we don't get a hosepipe ban next year...

A colleague was late in yesterday, his mother in law's place had been hit by lightning and he had to go over to help clear up. Apparently it wrecked the place; blew out the brickwork around the fire, distorted lots of the plaster on the ceiling, punched a hole in the roof and fried the electrics!

Our TV ariel got hit by lightning a few years back (odd as we lived at the bottom of a hill then) and it blew the TV up. A loud crack and then the lounge was filled with thick blue smoke.

We had the mother of all thunderstorms last sunday afternoon/early evening. It was of biblical proportions and it was like the end of the world was happening  It was the coolest storm I have ever experienced - really loud thunder, fork lightening and sheet lightening for about 90mins    The driveway and back garden had about 3 inches of water on it at one point and you could hardly see the end of the street it was raining that hard  Now that is what you call a storm
