I'd love to have a job where i could be rubbish at it, assault the public, have an affair with my staff, mix in dubious circumstances with peeps i've given planning permision to..... and when people demanded i resign for my behaviour tell em to get stuffed.
How come we get to vote these clowns in but have no right in removing them when they become a disgrace to their posts?
Oh yeh, cos out taxes pay their wages

Spidi---You need to change your job mate.
As for 3 Jags,I don't think he's significantly worse than any of the others. He is a good fall guy for those who would like to attack Blair and co,but don't have the balls to do so.If you can't hit on the leader go for the deputy.

You forget to mention that wehn you actually do get the 'sack' you'll still be paid a healthy salary and will in all probability will be invited back to a similar job after a year or so on the back benches.
Funny that! If I was sacked for similar reasons I'd be unemployed and there'd be a snowball in hell's change of me being invited back by my employer.

I would agree here. Seems like a pretty obvious tactic doesnt it. The amount of times he has been targeted by the press over the coming months is a little rediculous. I say keep him for entertainment value (and his left hook)

Oh come on, the reason why the press are targeting him is that he has become an embarassment. He was always incompetent but that was overlooked so the left could have thier man. But now he has been seen to be morally and politically corrupt the press are questioning his position. Part of me thinks that Blair and his cronies are using Prescott to keep the heat off them.
good for him trying to offload the white elephant that is the Dome to one of our yankee cousins!

Might be a good time to get over to Ladbrokes and have a wager on Conservatives for the next Government...
