I bought this as it was advertised as a 2004 SV gearlever. It obviously isnt, so I am hoping it is for a curvy and someone here needs one.
If anyone knows what bike it is actually for could they let me know.

weird, i replaced the gear lever on my K3 S and it looked exactly the same! weren't trying to fit it to a naked by any chance were you? if so maybe they're different?

Mines a K5s and quite a bit different. Will try and picture this and a later one together.

That's definitely a K3 gear lever, and since K3's were on sale new from 2003 until 2004 (And possibly still now, if a dealer has one sitting in a box somewhere) the eBay guy is right, but wrong :P

Anyway, it's just one of the many small but annoying changes that Suzuki made between the K3 and K4 models.

K3 = Gear change lever mounts at the same point as the foot peg

K4 K5 K6 (AFAIK) = Gear lever mounts in front of the foot peg.

Also the gear linkage is slightly longer on the K3 to account for the different position.
