I have not camped it up for many a year,(honest!) but in passing saw an advert on TV the other day which really made me think.

Basically this smallish roundish tent was held together and then thrown. As it moved through the air it all took shape and then simply needed some pegs near the base of it in to the ground.

Has anyone seen this type of thing? Would one maybe have a small bag with some sort of plastic tubing that pushes together? I really am intrigued as it would appear so simple to put together and very possbily quite small to lug around on a bike.

Maybe some of the AR06 peeps might be able to educate me as there were quite a few camp people on that. :P

no more erection problems (http://www.goplanetgo.co.uk/index.php?crn=75&rn=478&action=show_detail&gclid=CJXnqJ-ehYYCFRFyQwodQBEdDg)

85cm * 85cm when packed - I think that would be a bit of an awkward shape to strap on the back of a bike.

Depending on how rich you are, these are not bad

You're not wrong there. I looked at the option of a bivvy bag for touring but ruled it out as you need somewhere to put your kit. Felt safer to have it in the tent with me so 2 man is ideal for this.
