It doesn't look like it hit the floor, but I can't be sure. Should I get a new one anyway?

Need to get all my costs together for the solicitors. Still waiting for word from the police. Just trying to get an incident number seems difficult!

Thanks in advance....

Its an Arai isn't it? I think you can get those sent away to be assessed or something.

You know we can't answer this for you. You asking this shows that you know what you should do. The balance is between money and life. I choose life. If you have any doubt that you've hit the helmet change it.

Best claim for it then. I can't be 100% certain that it didn't hit the floor.

I thought I didnt hit the floor when I came off the GPZ. Could have sworn blind I didnt and there was no damage to the lid.

However the severe concussion that onset after said otherwise. :?

If its an Arai, get it sent away to be checked - my other half has one and they do check them for free [well they did his under this scheme]. But tbh, you should presume it has hit and claim for a replacement until Arai say otherwise.

Seeing as you're claiming from insurance I would definitely claim for a new lid.

Better to be safe then sorry

Go to your local hein Gericke, take your arai in and get them to send it off to be tested, its a free service, takes a few days and is worth it.
weve been doing it for 5 yrs now and we have NEVER had one back yet that hasnt been safe to use again.

Claim for it anyway. Then decide at your leisure whether to actually buy another.Same goes for all the rest of your kit.
If you wer'nt knocked out and there is no damage at all to your lid,you probably did not do any thing that really requires it to be replaced, but it's up to you if you have confidence in it.

Get a new lid from the insurance. I dont think they look at the actual cost of a claim, just that it was a claim.

If you damaged your lid and get killed again because of it, you cannot argue then :P

exactly. put the claim in first. deal with anything that comes up... ahem... at some later point if needs be.
If they are going to be dicks about a lid, just start mumbling stuff about a sore neck.
