...but I feel ick! Bah! Feeling quite sorry for myself too :( . Don't think it would be a great idea to go out on said bike (to be met by an assessor  ) when I feel dizzy when I stand up!!!! Was looking forward to this too :( .

went out again with the glasgow south mob on wed, as only 3 of us turned up with 3 observers, they decided to have some fun and go on a ride instead with only a minimum observation
was magic fun, 2 of the observers were on 05 model R1's, sheeet, can these things corner :D
even the 1150 GS beemer was hikin, as was the Pan Euro
made a nice change from the stop start stuff
really nice peeps as well, we always finish at a pub somewhere to discuss the nights issues over a nice warm drink

Seconded. I'd be there every Wednesday too, but am working in Dundee for a couple of months. I don't get back to Glasgow till after 7pm so can't make it.

Having said its fun it is missing the point slightly, not that it shouldn't be fun, but the whole point is to ride to the rules of the road and prepare you for a test, to get you your qualification and make you a safer rider...

I've just filled out my application form for the IAm, which group do you attend? Is it the one that nutty tart is an observer at?
I stay just outside Falkirk so its a toss up whether to do Glasgow north or south or Edinburgh I think, (depend on their meeting points times etc) Have you found it beneficial? :?

erm... a tad confused here... is there anything in what I wrote indicative of "not riding to the rules of the road"
forgive me if I have picked up your statement wrongly but was only trying to say that its not all work work work and that the run made a welcome alternative to a normal observed ride
Oh and... Nutty, Bernie & Robert are askin for you

EDAM seem to be pretty much a disaster... I've been a member for a year and a half, and I'm no further on than "You're on the waiting list". My renewal got lost in the mail, so I emailed to ask for a replacement form after I'd cancelled the cheque- it took them 3 months to send it to me... Not too impressive.

It's between the Bridge and Espedair Street.
(note: this is an obscure joke, don't use it as directions or you'll end up in a field near Harthill)

Whey hey! Went last night - and it was fab! Really not what I was expecting. I kinda had it in my head that it would be like a lesson - and so about town more. I did not expect to be eating chips in a pub in Arrochar!!! I was actually being observed by a guy who had just passed his test, so he is just getting trained up to become an observer himself. So he was being observed too!!! Then another 2 senior observers came along with us dfor the ride. So I basically had the benefit of 4 observers giving me advice. Really learned a lot, and already feel more confident!
Were any of you guys there? Obviouysly, the problem is you are introduced to people by their real names, and I only know your sign in names!!! I did not wanna go about the car park yelling "Nutty Tart" - I might have had things thrown at me!!!!

Funny enough, when I signed up at the bike show, I was asked "why are you joining." "I got a sales job off one of your Glasgow observors" "Oh really, who was it? "Eh, it was Hazel... um... umm..." "Ah, you mean Nutty Tart!"
