View Full Version : Biker Boyz
oh purleeez!
Has anyone ever made a decent biker film?
http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0026784/
That was a funny film possibly slighty better than Torque which was awful. Not many good bike films that I've seen.
Ghostrider possibly if that counts

It is pretty dreadful, isn't it
As for a decent biker film.................can't ever see it happening. After all, who would want to watch a film about a bunch of ordinary people with ordinary lives who just happen to enjoy riding bikes.......................after all, isn't that what most bikers are? No drug dealers, no guns, no fighting on top of trains  , wouldn't make much at the box office I don't think :D

World's Fastest Indian was a fantastic 'biker' film - more about an individual's amazing achievements rather than general biker culture and bull**** - highly recommended if you haven't seen it.
just like a rip off from the cage one they did a few years back - on bikes. And what a rubbish name for a bike gang...

It was not a true representation of the biker fraternity
.
I have never ... never ever ... seen that many honeys on/around bikes!! :smt117
Blue - Your hanging around the wromg places
On Any Sunday - Excellent biker film based on US racers from the 70's about ordinary folk making a living from biking. More of a documentary really but it's very good if you can get past some of the slightly twee 70's backing music.

Biker Boyz is really bad.
Faster is a good film but that doesn't really count as it is a documentry.
Look, thay are what they are, Hollywood representations of biker culture(Which could be a good representaion of US bike culture??), they aint documenteries ffs. I enjoy both Biker boyz and torque. Yes they are daft, yes they aint that good, but they are entertaining to say the least. Not a film you would sit down and watch again.

I enjoyed Torque in a 'my this is cheesy kind of way' but Biker Boyz was rubbish in fact if it didn't have bikes in it it would be fighting Charlies Angles 2 for the worst film I have seen award.
sent me to sleep within 15 minutes

Ok then, well I'm uneducated bike-wise, so I'll save my views for fears of getting rotten fruit thrown at me!!!
I thought Torque was very realistic myself. I don't know about you but I can ride like Cary Ford off Torque.

Cameron Diaz, Drew barrymore and Lucy Liu...nuff said.

You gotta seriously think that the Director or Producer or at least someone said to them selves, this movie is utter Sh'ite! :toss:
More Continuity errors in it than all of Hollywood productions in the least 3 decades. Overkill advertising for Pepsi and Mountain Dew, which I believe is the same firm. And and ending sequence which is only any good if played slowly.
Still fit bird in it, and thats all that matters!   :D :D

I think a few peeps need to get a grip around here! No movie featuring bikes will ever be a classic, they are purely diversion and entertainment. Yeah Biker Boyz is crap if you want to pull it to pieces in a critical kind of way. But for a bit of fun it's ok.
Torque was good for the main character's lady friend!
The fat and the furious on bikes...
I watched biker boyz last night (well bits of it) crap film wish I had not bothered. Had there been anything else on I would have turned it off.
Yeah its a pretty dodgy film, some of the racing on dirt tracks on highly tuned sports bikes makes perfect sence! but its worth it for the bike content even if the US guys do some horriable things to bikes, all them crazy paint jobs and chrome. The factorys spend years and billions and billions of yen to get the bikes lighter and better quality bits then some hick covers the thing in chrome. The mental motorcross stuff in charlies angels is quite good really, as in a total load of **** really but its worth watching. the worst bike chase is in Mission impossiable 2 the bikes in that have werid tires they change from road tires to trial tires and back depending on were he rides it. thats just **** really
But no film will ever be good for bikes, they for riding or watching rossi and others race not much is ever going to beat that!

Watched Torque and it is the worst film I have ever seen.
How can any professional film artiste wipe his hands on such drivel.
Just plain awful.

I'll second that!
Great film and a brilliant performance by Anthony Hopkins - should be compulsory viewing for all bikers!!
In fact I think Bike magazine are giving it away as their subscription freebie at the mo...
