I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to adjust the shift lever. It is pointing way to far down, feels like i've going to break my toe everytime i shift. Thanks...

You need to screw the gear shift link in further, it should raise the lever. It has a left hand thread on one side so both sides screw in at the same time. There should be two locknuts which you need to undo first.

There's a locknut at each end of the gear linkage. Loosen them and turn the linkage to move the pedal up and down. It's in the handbook if you've got one. You'need 2 spanners to tighten it again, reverse thread at one end you see.

Indeed. Copper grease on the threads for me.

In fact, copper grease on all kinds of things all over the bike. Think I might have a bit of a fetish.
