i got a copy of the japanese only extended edition of the 1st film. its about 15 mins longer and some of the fight scenes are more brutal and bloody!!

Me too! It also doesn't turn B&W during the crazy 88 fight, though you do notice on a couple of guys that it is water spraying out instead of blood!
