I feel that we, as group, should do something.........dunno what though.
Sould we try to find out if we would be welcome at the funeral?
He was one of the gang and will be missed.

If we are welcome and I can make it I will go.
Haxsaw was out with a few other South West members here including myself on a mini rideout out west.
The accident happened on the A396 between Minehead and Tiverton late on Saturday afternoon.
His next of kin have been notified.
He is a huge loss to the motorcycling community. My thoughts are with his freinds and family.

I'd like to go to the Funeral to pay my respects. If somebody could find out details and post them as soon as they are known.
maybe we could send flowers or something to the funeral from us all
Or get together a collection for a charity?
I like the flowers idea, but just another thought in case they're not welcome?

Of course, a donation is a good idea

Flowers or donation - both have my support. Maybe something that could be organised from .Org funds or if from a separate collection just point me in the right direction.
we as yet dont know what the family wishes are but initial thoughts are about giving to the air ambulance.
Will post details at a later time.
Air Ambulance sounds good.
We gave to them when our friend was killed, a very worthy cause.
I will post on here when I find out what his parents wishes are regarding the funeral etc.

We are meeting this Thursday at the Roo Bar in normal tradition of the Bristol Mofo crew to raise a toast to Dan.
If you wish to turn up on bikes please do so you are all welcome and please bring with you all your stories of his adventures. We wish to make this a celebration/reflection of the time we had with him.
We will be there from 6pm.
Hope to see you there.

I will be there too. My first sv650.org meeting, shame it is in such sad circumstances.
A very fine turn out, A quak, a Honda and a gaggle of SVs. Good to spot RingDing (sorry never introduced myself)
Apologies for leaving very early, but I only got 2 hours sleep last night and went through the mill after and got a roasting at the office today by some errrr.... U rated site right.... knob. I'm knackered and I just had to be out on my own with the bike. Need to ponder a while too.

So gutted when I found out. Never got the chance to meet him properly but I get the overwhelming impression that he was one of lifes good guys.
R.I.P. Dan.
To all of you that were there on the day, and I've already told Anna this, if you feel the need to talk about this to anyone then send me a pm. I'm not a counsellor but thru the course of my job I've seen some sh*tty things and I find it really helps to talk about it. I'm not trying to "big" myself up, I'm trying to help in ANY way possible.
Take care. To lose one friend is too many. Lets not have any more.
Regards and Best Wishes to all to all concerned.
Nick.
