:( RIP.

It's always 8) (to me anyways) seeing those VIP escorts without the sirens parting the traffic. Brilliant team work.

Cheers

He leaves a wife and two-year-old daughter.

Not nice.
Those guys are generally (from what i have seen) good bike drivers. If it can happen to them...

Just goes to show it can happen to the best of us although perhaps another reason why I prefer to spend less time doing life savers and more time looking forward.

RIP fella, :(

As Bluepete said, not always the most favourite of people, but still a biker all the same.

My condolences go to his family, wife and daughter.

RIP

The Bike Cops round here are a great bunch, always acknowledge us with a nod or a wave, and all of those we've met on various Bikesafe days have been a good bunch too.

We also ride pretty regularly with a couple of mates who also happen to be cops, and believe you me, when they are out with us they are just bikers, not coppers!

Sad when anyone so young loses their life.

Are you able to update us when the outcome of the investigation is known. Would be interesting to know how it happened considering the HGV was stationary.

He was not one of those at all, he was one of us.

Cop or not is irrelavant in my eyes tbh. RIP fella, condolonces to his family.

Amazed he hit a stationary HGV tho, i wonder if they were pracising high speed evasion or chase manouvres at the time?

Poor guy. :(
