Take the sharks out of there and i'd have a go at that.
Rays are sooooo cool tho.

Actually only a few species of sharks do. The majority dont. For example, the 30+ species of sharks that live in British coastal waters dont, despite the Sun labelling basking sharks as "jaws".
Most sharks attack occur under two circumstances: 1. where the shark is feeding and mistakes a surfer or diver as its normal prey or 2. where a diver inadvertantly threatens the shark. Otherwise most show a mild curiosity to a diver in the water but do not attack.
But diving to see a great white has been a long held ambition of mine. Probably just confirms Im nuts too :P

Hey, they all have the potential, for me that is more than enough not to do it.
On topic of sharks some nice pics and interesting commentary on blue sharks:

Though I suspect those pics will only encourage some and really deter others.

Did some diving in Thailand with Leopard and white tipped reef sharks and loved it.
It must have been awsome!

If you wanna se some great whites just go to the Med, they breed in the waters around sicily, or maybe the Adriatic http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/topstories/tm_objectid=13190400%26method=full%26siteid=94762-name_page.html

Have to say this one looks good:

From what I can see there are no commercial diving operations in the med. Which isnt really too much of a surprise given the concerns that some places in South Africa are raising over the issue of attracting more sharks to the waters.
