I'm aiming for 1000mph myself. Still got a way to go though.

You'll find 100mph is much less exciting than it might seem, it's just like 90 but windier.

When you hit 100 expect your balls to double in size

Good luck with it, but it won't be much different from 95. You'll probably want to wind it on further.

And I take it this motorway you're on about is the private one you have out your back yard?

Did I say motorway? Obviously I meant diveway.

But I don't think that the rozzers will be interested in little ol' me.....

Provided that it's for a short burst and you're not riding like a **** then you are probably right.

Note the word "probably"

Must admit to doing it everyday on my way home from work. There is a flyover thats just asking to be crested at over a ton.

Yup, will be doing about 30/40 miles on the motorway but I just intend to open th throttle fully for a short burst to get to the tun for a quick burn.

how is doing a ton a "biking taboo"?

Would have thought it was mandatory!

As you've never done a hundred before if you get caught you can just point out that you were 'familiarising yourself with the vehicle'.

Which is apparently OK up to about 160mph*.

Must admit to doing it everyday on my way home from work. There is a flyover thats just asking to be crested at over a ton.
I know where you talking about - you naughty naughty boy [-X

*Conditions apply
1) You must be a copper.
2) You must have brass ******** to even try a defence so clearly an utter lie.
3) You need a daft and sycophantic Beak who'll swallow obvious crap like that.

This thread seems like a bit of a random, I was expecting something like 'I'm going to do a ton backwards with a small dog resting on my lap'.

But yeah, go for it. :)

I think Hall thought the same:

£60 fine and 3 points. He was lucky.

Can I reiterate my point in that thread.

DO NOT DO THIS ON THE M20 north of Ashford. The traffic division are based at Maidstone and are ALWAYS somewhere on the motorway.

If youre lucky they will be on the other side, if youre not you'll soon know about it. There are a number of marked and unmarked cars on the M20 invariably between Wrotham and Ashford as this is where there are frequent accidents on the motorway.

Keep it to 95ish on that section is my advice to anyone who wants to use it as a track.

Take care doing it, just check small things like the drive chain isn't dragging on the floor and that theres enough oil in it first. Enjoy the experience me lud. :)

I've managed 120 out of my SV for a short burst. Great fun, but did not do it for a LONG distance. Still breaking in my new bike so can't go over 8000 rpm until its first service :(

:o)

Motorway on sat was packed with car drivers not going anywhere & it was really stormy so no speed records, though riding, sensibly, between the cars felt a bit like Beggars' Canyon back home(!) Sunday on that huge driveway I did pull the throttle back a little.

The small of my back is giving my major jip today, though. :o(

I'm up to 145 too. With about 500rpm to go. Hoped to max out at the Nurburgring but you can't do it on a public day cos you have to pull in every lap.
