Finally managed to buy myself a SV650S K6!! YAY!!!!! :D :D 8) So I thought I should formally request to join you guys?! It'll be two weeks now before I get it, but first just got to decide what colour now..Blue or Red.. what d' ya all reckon :?:..Decisions, Decisions!
Everyone's got blue
Black matches the frame & looks best

Go for the black fully faired version. It looks bl**dy brilliant with the black frame and wheels. Then all you need is a set of Ghostrider 666 leathers and a black helmet for the ultimate stealth look. Everyone's got a blue or silver model. I've not seen another fully faired red sv for ages.
BLACK WITH LOWER FAIRINGS 8) 8) 8) You'll love the looks.
Then get a Hamicad tail tidy and a race can. You'll turn heads guaranteed.

You don't need to formally request anything, just turn up, that's what the rest of us did.

Cheers Guys!! Unfortunately black just ain't an option this year or so I'm told by dealer and doesn't appear on the Suzuki website either. Ain't too keen on silver. I think the black frame is a bit of a shame for the blue which me thinks looks better with chrome eh? Still undecided!!!

Yo!
I'm presuming its a new bike?
Blue's the fastest colour. It's more of a turquoise than blue like last years colour and it change hue in different lights. I've also had a few honeys stop and tell me its a cool colour. Chamone
The silver is more of an ice blue. Guy up the road from me got an ice blue one and he's been told a few times its a girly colour. The minute he saw mine he wished he'd got the blue.
The reds cool too.
But to be perfectly honest, if I would have loved a yellow or black one fully faired.http://upload4.postimage.org/686164/coyote_flash.jpg (http://upload4.postimage.org/686164/photo_hosting.html)

I like the red myself, I like the contrast with the black frame and it really stands out in the sunlight, but I suppose thats why I bought one.
Lowers look really good but I didn't buy partly 'cos of cost (I had enough touble convincing my wife we should buy a brand new bike, never mind convince her we should spend money on optional extras!), and partly because I will use it in winter and I was worried about rot underneath the lowers 'cos I wasn't getting in to wash the salt off properly. Seen a few like this (front manifold, radiator, etc), not sure if it was down to lack of care or because of the lowers.
Also from about 17-18 SV's on the July 9th Rideout, mine was the only red one.
If your anything like I was the next two weeks waiting will be hell!! Lets us know and post some pics once you get it.
get the red 1 with lowers m8.....i did and its the dogs b*ll*cks

Yeah its brand spankin'... and I'm still in  that I've actually bought it (mostly due to the insurance quotes.. aghhh!!)! Don't fancy the silver either looks like baby blue to me.. guess I just ain't that kinda girl!! Having seen your blue with the lowers.. getting more tempted!! :D But presume I won't afford 'em yet. Got to give an answer on colour tomorrow so think I'll just toss a coin.. whats left of em!!!  They're both real nice by the way.. yours & sliders!! 8)

I hate the "silver". Not a big fan of this year's blue either, for that matter. But hey, it's your bike.
I see it falls to me to warn you about... The Curse. Being in SV Ecosse is sort of like betting someone £10 you won't crash, or deciding to fit those crash bungs tomorrow, or doing one... last... wheelie. I hear insurance companies have started adding £500 per year onto the premiums of known members...

Cheers Chris...I was torn between the blue & red but decided on the blue because it went with my eyes
Are you getting it from Cupar?
I know something far worse than the 2 week delivery. Burning up all your 1000 mile allowance in the first 10 days then the 3 week wait for the 1st service. :( Roll on next monday.
Booked in for Monday, serviced then

Yeah baby!
You have most excellent taste. Don't worry about being different. Spoke to Ollie at Cupar and he told me that there have been very few of this year's blue sold. Mostly the silver and red has been going out. Seen lots of silver about and a few red but no blue K6 yet.
You'll need to get some blue and white alpinestars kit to look "coordinated"
I'm actually working on a photoshop customisation for mine so I'm aiming to be a wee bit different. I'll post my ideas up fairly soon.
Errr name change incurred due to the obvious, yes I'm aussie, and you guessed it.. I'm a.k.a "Sheila" ... so I figured I should sort it!
The countdown has more than begun...In fact its almost over!! And yeah its been torture alright.... Been driving my colleagues mad !!!  Got Black Alpinestary eyed jacket, Blue looked far too good, and not practical enuff... Sorry Stuartyboy! How's your dummy by the way?! Here's hoping I get lost on the roads this weekend whilst getting to know my new toy.. If you see me it won't be for long as you'll more than likely pass me at 10 x the pace..

Rewth Stripper!
I take it by the dummy you mean the goddess on the avatar...she's been a bit grumpy this past week as I've been out on the coyote all week. :D
Chuffed for you that your bikes arrived.
If you fancy a spin and you're passing by kinross way after you cross the bridge then give me a shout. We can ride in formation with our matching alpinestars kit

Meant what date. I had to wait a month for mine and did 600 miles in the 1st week.
Yep been warned I have to book him in REALLY early so will have to sort a date pronto. Put almost a hundred on already and only had it a day and half! Oops! Anyway, without further adoo!! Check out my sweet baby... doesn't he look gorgeous??!! So chuffed I went for blue! :D

Nice one. Bet you're glad the wait is over. I was advised to (and did) book my first service on the day of collection. Was also told that anywhere between the 600 & 1000 mile point was OK. It was nearer 1000 in the end, but to be safe, I changed the oil (and nothing else) a little before hand.
4000 Mile service on Sat 12th, day before our Borders rideout.
I'd recommend ditching the nasty factory tax disk holder and fitting a tank protector ASAP.......
Cheers,

Looking GOOD!!!!
Have your chicken strips disappeared already?
Make sure you get it in Early! And do NOT go over 1000 miles as this invalidates the warrany - whether you change the oil or not. I tried that one with them and got a wry kind of "nice try" smile ;)
