I knew a girl that had a wasp tattoed on her.
Except, it looked like a wasp, exactly like a wasp.
So, now and again, people would start swiping at her, and swatting her, or belting her with a rolled up newspaper and running away.
I think she got fairly fed up with that eventually.

It looked very real. If we were swimming or something, and there was a drop of water on it, I would double take even though I knew it was a tattoo.
I'm not a tattoo person and don't really understand the whole thing.
I do kind of like this tho, but it made him very sick.

As a tribute to my favourite film Mary Poppins, I have 'Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious' tattooed in 1cm letters along the length of my King Billy.
I'll let you do the maths, ladies
On the other hand (so to say), in a state of rest, and following the Peter Henry "Ludo" principal, you have a Bobber that reads "Suspicious"

I have 7 tattoos and did not ask anyone for ideas on what to get. As it is me who will be stuck with em, i just had a look at mags and designs in several parlours and what really caught my eye would make its way onto some part of my body :D
GAVE OVER 1000 PEOPLE SOMETHING TO TALK ABOUT WITH EACH OTHER THOUGH AY?

If you're honest you've probably only got enough room for SV on your "king billy!" :P
Nothing wrong with Tat's on us girlies.... I have 4 if anyone is interested...
Winnie the pooh on my arm (there's a surprise! :D )
A Rose on my shoulder
A Butterfly on my left breast (No I won't show you! )
And a Unicorn on my hip
I like girls with tattoo's, I think they look cool. Why is it ok for a man to have a tat but not a girl?!?!
As for names.... My beloved has my name tattoo'd on his arm!
(Must be love! )
I'm afraid that I'm old fashioned, I don't like tat's, not on blokes and especially not on girls.
Sorry

I like some... But so many are just rotten. Such as the unstoppable spread of the slag tag :)
My next tatoo is going to be the barcode from a can of Heinz Baked Beans. I've wanted it for ages, but am still debating where to put it.
Either nape of my neck, small of my back, shoulder or side of my foot.
Most likely is the foot, cos a I'd kind of rather have the Kanji for 'Kodo' on my neck (when I can find it).
A friend of mine had a really tacky snarling wolf on his arm that he grew to hate over the years. For his 30th birthday we clubbed together and got another one over it for him - two snakes meeting over a black sun. (Which fans of Conan may recognise).
The guy did a fantastic job on it and now he has an arm to be proud of.
I had mine lasered off years ago. (crap design badly done).
I quite like tats on girls, although most girls i know seem to go for the same thing.
Most of the girls in my office have some sort of swirly sort pattern at the base of there back.

Loreal used to do temp tat of barcodes. raised a few eyebrows when put on the breast.
I had one guy try to scan it to see how much i was worth

Either nape of my neck, small of my back, shoulder or side of my foot.
I'd thought about that... Inside of the wrist, in a light red so it's not glaringly obvious but still visible.
I'm not keen on tats really but when I was younger, I quite fancied having the male/female - venus/mars symbols intertwined.
If I were to get a tat, I'd have to copy my mate who has "No Fear" written in really cool lettering on his upper arm.
I don't mind tats on the upper arms, I've seen some really nice tats but really don't like them on the lower arms. I just think they're trying to be "hard".
Doesn't suit I don't think.
I'm trying to think of one that I can have done that's includes the names of my 3 children but that's not tacky. It's so difficult cos there's so much choice out there!
Can't decide where to put it either!
:D
Only once I have hit my ideal weight have I promise myself a tat and that will be on my right hip bone ish!!! Celtic design One I done back in high school
My mates has a tattoo next to her privates and it stated keep of the grass and yes she did die it green.
Funniest was when the nurse told her that she had mown the lawn when she went in for an op!
Honest its a true story
My mates friend has a man "mowing" a certain area. , its actually quite cool
Tigerrrr.......

Well, first of all, each to their own I say. Whatever makes you happy.
The thing I just don't get is why people get names and phrases......in Chinese????
Why why why?
Why not Italian, or French, or any other non-English language?
And why tribal symbols??? What is that all about?
To refer back to an earlier post about Speedos..at least you can take them off when they become unfashionable, unlike tattoos.
I like very feminine, well dressed women. Tattoos just don't go with that style.
But as I say, each to their own...

Bravo  .

Um, don't they really hurt?
And isn't Yellow the most painful colour?
I ask as I've always fancied the smiley face from the Watchmen Graphic Novel, but I'm a bit of a big girl's blouse when it comes to pain & needles.
Depends how you deal with pain. It does hurt, but it's quite bearable. You get a bit of a rush as well.
I don't know about yellow being the worst; I wouldn't have thought it would make a difference, since the pain is the needle jabbing you, not the ink.
Where you have it done is probably the main factor in how much it hurts. Face, neck and hands are some of the worst. Stomach apparently isn't fun and I can vouch for the kidney area being a bit tender. Some say the spine is bad, but I found it to be fine, it's just the area about an inch either side that smarts a bit. Chest is alot less painful than people claim.
My OH says out of all his tats (has quite a few on his arms) that the spiders web on his elbow was the most painful :? :(

Mine was upper arm, so not one of the more sensitive bits, but I could've fallen asleep under the needle. Almost did :)

I keep wanting to add to my tatoos but really not sure if I should. The problem I have found with tatoo's is that people tend to judge you on your appearance. I have a shaved head, quite a few tatoo's and also workout a lot and ride a bike and most people at work (who don't know me) think I am some kind of ruffian. Which isn't true, I'm nice. Really I am. :D
Both the ones on my hip and shoulder only really began to be painful (as opposed to the annoying pain of being tickled by a red hot feather) when they ran over the boney bits.
The one on my bum though just plain tickled so had me in fits of giggles the entire time it was being done!
The last one I want done is some ivy climbing up my spine, maybe even over my shoulder and round my right boobie as well as over my hip and round my thigh.
Yes it's a big tattoo, but only in it's entirity. I'd like the leaves themselves done quite small and over all quite narrow with little tendrils curling off it.
Perhaps with a few little hidden extras in there like a pair of eyes or a couple of little imps or birds or something. Just to make it even more of a work of art that you really need to study to capture everything in it.
I'm still working on it (and saving) so it'll be a while yet.

Very true, i wonder tho... is it the cos there is a chance of seeing some flesh for some of us or is it cos there are so many tatoo lovers amongst any crowd of bikers? :-k
... is it the cos there is a chance of seeing some flesh
Nah.......posts showing anything more than a hint of a shapely bit of shin are moderated very quickly these days.

BARE SHINS!!! You won't find that kind of filth on the org.
My Rose which is on my left shoulder blade was uncomfortable but I wouldn't say painful. My Unicorn on my hip was again uncomfortable but only because of the bone. The Butterfly on my left breast didn't hurt at all, must be the amount of flesh I have there!
It's all down to where you are having the tattoo and how big. Like Mumstoy said, Elbow where there's lots of bone I imagine hurts ALOT.. where as the breast where theres no bone, just flesh doesn't hurt. I think you have to get used to the *pain* then it doesn't hurt anymore
I've always fancied one my ankle but I bet it hurts like hell because of the bone so I think I'll pass on that! *eek*
My advice to anyone that facies a tattoo is, just make really sure you want one, once done they are extremely hard to remove, or you're left with the option of going over the top. If in doubt don't do it! :D

Paw prints on my "chest"  :wink:have got to say the paw prints are the best idea for a tattoo that Ive seen. for me dragons look good on girls for some strange reason the next one ill get is a Japanese scroll text depicting the way i should lead my next life.
