...well, one of 'em anyway.

I'm heading down to stay with Stretchie for a couple of days on Thursday, so no doubt I'll see some of you at the Roo Bar that Dan's been telling me about! :)

Also, I've got time to kill during the day on Friday while Dan has to work, so I was wondering if anyone can recommend something to do / see in bristol and / or wants to meet up for a brew / pint somewhere?

Bike's going in for it's service tomorrow so hopefully it'll be on top form, shame about the rider though...

Just seen this. Loads riding you can do. Go down Cheddar way, nip over to Weston etc. Or see the sights of Bristol which are Clifton, the Suspension Bridge and Gorge, the waterfront, and pretty girls. Or just do Clifton, Queens Rd, Park St, Corn St, King St and enjoy the cosmopolitan 'ambience' :D

If its sunny I may be able to take a bit off time off  In any case if your in town I'll pub lunch with you.

Are you here the weekend?

Hi Rich,

I'm arriving on Thursday and leaving on Sunday. I'm heading straight to Weston on Thursday to meet Stretchie after work and then going to the Roo bar. On Friday Stretchie's in work again so during the day I was going to do the touristy thing cos I haven't been to Bristol before. A pub lunch sounds good 8)

I think the plan for Saturday is a rideout somewhere, but TBH Stretchie has probably got a better idea than me, I'm just going to turn up at the start & then try to keep up! :?

Generally on the other side of the boards which Anna MAKES us sit behind so its hard to see at the Roo Bar

Better keep me on the other side of the boards from the women then. Not necesarily cos I'll be ogling them, more likely I'll scare 'em off...

Pub lunch plan Friday, Highbury Vaults top of St Michael's Hill. I'll be there in the garden from 12.15 as it gets busy of a friday.

HERE (http://www.streetmap.co.uk/newmap.srf?x=358239&y=173809&z=0&sv=BS2+8DE&st=2&pc=BS2+8DE&mapp=newmap.srf&searchp=newsearch.srf)

You can also see the Roo Bar on there, the red dot marked Clifton Down Station.

If you cant make it let me know on Friday morning before 12 (Ill pm you mobile) as I wont wander up till then, in case you end up miles away or something. You could do Clifton in morning, wander up to Vaults for lunch then centre and waterfront afternoon maybe.

I'm sure I can make it down again sometime, assuming the mofo's will have me back again!!

Squirrel and Beenz confirmed that the Stretch-meister had not overlooked something simple. Fingers crossed it turns out simple.

Sidestand switch ;) nope.. well it worked once!

Well, at least you have a spare engine to play with Stretch.. no need for more parts, just time to fix it

Beenz
03-08-06, 10:40 PM
Selector is stuffed. The gear lever moves but nothing clicks, clutch in or our moving the bike back and fourth nothing. I guess it's a fork shot. At least it got stuffed and was not locked in gear.

Stretch has had a tough time recently, but the rest of us can still enjoy the good weather. Stretch mate, don't worry we'll take it in turns giving you a lift.

Well lets fomulate a plan then? I was thinking of getting the day test ride of a K1200R and lending Stretchie mine for saturday....

I wouldn't mind doing something tomorrow, but I want to be back in Bristol by the early evening, so may not be possible.
Sort it out tomorrow.
