These are two pics from the Hardknott Pass, (possibly the Wrynose though), taken on our holiday in 1999:

i had to cycle up wrynse and harnotts when i was at school for the duke of edinburgh's award! it was even harder with about 40kg's of kit on the back aswell! i had brand new brake pads at the start of the climb and at the bottom i had zero! boths brakes fully on going down but still doing 25mph!

Last time i went over that pass i was with 11 other supermoto's and it was ****ing it down. was really funny going over the catle grids and all you could hear was every single one of us pinning it over them to get the back spinning. Not to mention soo much sideways action from some of the better riders who were loving the splippery roads.

Must go back up there one day

arrrrgggghhh, not the Hardknott Pass. First time I ever went on that road was in the cage, thick fog, and the cage got hit by a tractor.

Vowed never to go on that road again, but I'm tempted on the bike!
