Thanks for the comments guys/gals...

Loving it so far, handling/braking is in another world to the sv... Never seriously considered a supersport but I saw this bike and fell in love, the yellow cbr's are quite rare as they only sold a limited number in the uk apparently + I got a good deal on it and have since seen identical bikes for alot more money which makes me even more happy 8)

I plan on adding a little bit more black to it but its so great as it is, there isn't much needs doing to it :D :D :D :D :D

To answer the question

You've bought a great looking bike. Once you get used to it you will love the handling and brakes.....oh and how nuts it goes once you get up in the revs

Very nice

Nice bike but for me it definitely needs some nicely crafted black decals. There is a guy in the midlands that recently did some for me and they are ace!

Good man Ian, I knew that Gooner blood would see you sort yourself out in the end

Youll be in trouble when they ban tobacco advertising. Full c amel sticker set on that would look luvverly. Nice one, Ian.

Warren
04-08-06, 05:19 PM
wow, very nice indeed.

how much you pay for it out of interest ?

i bet you will be glad to get out of the world of pitting on the forks, and cheese fastners :)

thought you were giving up biking anyway ?

Iansv

The helmet fits my old school nickname, and my surname is flower...

hence the flowerpower helmet... + it was a bargain

Paid £4800ish Warren, Parkers rate it at being worth £5100 + so i'm happy considering its more or less mint and has a few nice extras

As for giving up biking I considered it, but I knew in my heart I was just needing a change, and upon seeing this bike knew instantly I had to have it, and you can't take the grin off my face when I ride it at the moment... The sv was a good old girl but after 3 years wasn't doing it for me anymore...

I'll probably sell it if I get a decent offer for it

I'm still grinning about the GSXR and I've had that just over four months. It takes ages to wear off I tell you.

how much you want for the SV ? i want another bike for racing, but nothing too expensive.

so do you think honda's are as bland as people make out ?

redlined it yet ?

he he, you will have to come to the CBR meet, (when we actually have one)

I'd be looking for around a grand for the sv, maybe slightly more, mechanically its sound (20k ish miles I think), and i have a replacement rear shock and ohlins springs to go in it, new pads, clutch and brake lever. Just needs some tidying up and a damn good clean and it'll be sound :P

Dunno if i'll sell or keep atm, as I dunno if I want to ride the cbr through the winter yet.

Oh this bike certainly aint bland... There is a lovely sweet spot from 7-9k revs where the sound is gorgeous on the debaffled devil zorst.. I've got no-where near the redline yet

the CBR wont decay though winter like the SV does,

mine is still in pretty good shape, given what its been ridden through.

'SMIDSY' will not be an even remotely believe 'excuse' if a cager has you off (hope they don't!) on that.

Wouldn't be my first pick of colour, but that's a cracking looking bike.

Yellow has never been a top colour for me either on other bikes but I think it suits the cbr, the only other one i've ever liked it on was the 748...

Still loving it 8)
