SV650s 12k, 53 plate, blue K2. dealership service history till 7k and tax and tested for a good few months yet!

Knocked over at car park at work, written off by insurance due to MINIMAL damage! - no wonder premiums are so DAMM high!!!

Bike fell on it's left hand side, side fairing front(not the main fairing) and rear are scuffed and will need replaceing(though rideable as is), new indicator needed on left front and rear - again both still work, but a bit scratched. light bend on gear linkage - again still works fine! tiny dint (1-2cm) in tank where bar end has been pushed against it - works fine and is almost invisbale unless your 3 foot tall! scuff on bar end.

I can't beleive they wrote it off for this minimal damage, but they have!

Need to sell it to pay for replacement.

Bike is absolutly standard except comes with new smaller front indicators and a single seat conversion pod - also comes with pillion seat.

Offers?

Bear in mind age and mileage and pre crash condition are all very good and that this is rideable "as is" so can be a long term- buy the parts when you spot them going cheap - type bike.

You will have a minter if you change the above parts.

PM an offer - or if you have a supermoto I would be interested in a swap - doesn't need to be road legal but don't offer me a 1976 trials bike with bald tyres and say they are slicks!! It's gotta be the "real deal".

Would also consider a small engined car, must be low mileage decent age and good condititon and HAS TO have a tow bar!

Cheers!

Sorry not in the market but confused :?

How can you make an insurance claim if you sell the bike? Somone else at fault so surely you're claiming right?

Surely they are offering you more as a pre crash value than you hope to sell it for?

Or are you going to claim, buy it back & sell it?

Sorry for the derail and will happily delete it if its compromising your sale.
Cheers

Hi,

It's no probs - the detail is as follows - the bike has been written off, the insurance company have offered me there price, I have haggled and sent copies of similar bikes, but they ain't budging much on price to anywhere near where I think it should be.

So I'm buying the bike bike and selling it to boost their measily cheque to a decent level so I can buy a half decent replacement.

Hope that helps explain where I'm coming from. I know I could just repair it, but I fancy a change too - hope that helps explain mate. If I don't get any interest I will either ebay it, or repair it for a couple of hundred and sell once it is mint again.
