I finally bought Oblivion :) So far today, my time's been equally split between playing it, and periodically turning to my graphics card's overclock utility and shouting "RAMMING SPEED!"

Ok :? whatever floats your boat
I have no idea what youre talking about Northwind :?
Nor have I and I normally have a good idea about PC stuff...
I remember buying Final Fantasy 9 for the PS2. Started playing it at 2pm on the Saturday, and finally switched off through complete exhaustion at 2am on the Monday morning....................not that games are compulsive or anything
See you in a fortnight Northy................although I'm sure it won't take you THAT long to complete :D

I haven't got a clue what you are on about :? . I'd say you do sound a bit delirious but do keep an eye on your PMs' eh  .
Twice a day would be fine
Cheers
Ben
Don't forget to mod it, gets very boring very quickly....

A friend had a copy just before exams, I made him promise not to let me have it before I finished my degree.
I still haven't got round to have a look. I got back into Dungeon Keeper 2, the other day, though.

Oh dear, blew up my PC :) Too many blue-screens in a row make XP an unhappy OS. It turns out that my 7600GT doesn't like being pushed past 650mhz clock speed. Which is still not bad, mind- I'd expected to see ATITool start to detect artifacts but it seems to be drivers that are crackign up, not architecture. Now, to see how fast the memory will go :)
The 7600GT's the SV650 of the graphics card world- not dazzlingly good out of the box, but you can make it go faster if you want, and if it explodes a new one's not too dear :) Now, if I could just figure out how to wire up this damn Zalman fan- big thank you to Dell for not giving me some of the wiring connectors that Zalman take for granted

Yep, but I'm quite used to that ;) It only took out little bits, like my email, and made one of the hard drives stop registering

I think I'll probably end up doing that anyway... It's doing pretty well so far in native 1280x1024, I've been trying to avoid dropping it but I think I'd have to turn all the other options down, which is a bit futile. Rather lovely to look at though.

Ouch. Dropped mine to 1280 x 720, or possibly 768, now runs pretty well with the detial pretty high and the flash lighting effects on. Very occasional slowdown. In the end I've had to turn the graphics card back down below it's own limits  After a bit of asking about on various forums, most people reckon the instability I was getting wasn't the card, but was more to do with bottlenecks. 2.8ghz Pentium D, it is, so that makes sense. The card itself runs fine under ATITool's artifact check at 71 degrees, so it's not that. Could be drivers, not sure. Anyhoo, good reult for a £110 graphics card, I reckon.
Heh, I just bought a pair of 256mb ram sticks to fill my empty slots for £15 :)
