Went for a bit of a scoot yesterday with my mate Dmitry (954 Blade), and his mate Andrew (05 Gix 1K). Did about 350 miles in the end, mainly around Izu and Hakone. I'll let the pics tell the story.

After filling up at the bottom of the Hakone Turnpike, Dmitry was so hot he actually went in the carwash lol. It was about 37 degrees in the shade.

Up in Izu, at the rest point where we base ourselves from. Was much cooler in the mountains, still about 27 degrees with blazing sunshine. Rained for a bit, weird microclimate for about 1 sq kilometre, but dried off super quick.

Dmitry in his new leathers. About time too with the way he rides! Only guy I know with full Alpinestars gear- and a openface lid lol.

My Gixer. I love it. Anyone who loves their bike knows pics like this need no explanation.

The weather was this sunny and shiney.

The view out to the sea below. Stunning hey! Japanese countryside.

Why you shouldn't fit Marvic wheels to your bike. They do bad things to your tyres. This was from road riding!

And at the end of the day we went swimming here. A bit chilly but simply stunning. There was a hot spring next to the waterfall so you could get a warm up after coming out.

This will be one of those days I remember for a long time.

Dan.
