Hi,

Just brought myself a 04 sv650s and i love it, it looks fantastic and i cant wait to get out on it. Is currently in my garage untill mid september when i take my test and hopefully pass. I cant believe how much better this sounds that most 600's and considering my last bike was a rs125 its a huge improvement Anyway here it is im like a kid at christmas just waiting for the moment i have done my test.

I will be on this forum alot from now on i imagine for advice and general chat as the website has allready been such a great resource for me.

With the RS you'll of had some on-road experience. Full test shouldn't be an issue really. Just a matter of riding by the numbers.

Just don't do what I did, ride a full test with 2 minor faults, then when told to pull into the test centre car park, forget all about observations & signalling  Luckily, the nice fella let me off with a slap on the wrist & another minor. Could of failed for that!

Good luck with the test!

Firstly welcome to the site etc and good luck with your test....

Now on to the important matter, therealvw's sig:

"Assumption is the mother of all **** ups" is the phrase to watch....bah to the .308

First time i ever heard that was in the movie Under Siege 2, which google indicates was released in 1995....i bet those Linkin' park whipper snappers were still in nappies :)

ASM. Was it used in the Undersiege 2. Well I never. I think I got it from a Tom Clancy character, John Clark. The Silent Souls thing is from a Sniper book. Apparently was used as a calling card in Vietnam.

Monaco???

Aaah a man of taste indeed....i have read dozens of his books and his games arn't bad either :)

Yep Monaco are my team, half French you see, but keep it quiet because all the strange folk will come out of the woodwork!

As for the under siege reference, its said by the big bloke with the bleached hair....such a German, after the woman snipes Raybeck on the train and they are not sure he is dead....yes i'm such a geek.

Don't worry I'm half New Zealand, and the amount of jokes I've got about Sheep ,well, I could shake a wet bum boot at( or wellington boot as they say in UK) Not seen US2 for ages.
Have you seen them play, ASM? Is their pitch the one built over an underground carpark? I remember watching a match on TV with ManU were playing and they were saying the ball bounced funny because of the underground carpark!!

Yeh loads of times....my family was based there and i was raised there before i went to boarding school in england aged 8. I dont get back there anyway near as much as i would like and my family spend lots of time in england now anyway.

I used to have a season ticket but i gave it up before start of this season as i wasnt there enough to make it worthwhile. Not really an issue as its way cheaper to watch footy than in england and there is rarely capacity attendance so i can get a ticket if i want one.

Yep the Stade Louis II pitch is built over the carpark which is great way to maximise space...got all the leisure/hotel complex as well.

I imagine it was tired/badly laid turf as opposed to it bouncing funny because of the carpark! Pundits like to chat drivel...probably some buffoon like Lawrenson or Pleat :) Always played normally from what ive seen.
