Tomorrow it's bike fettling day, ready for Sunday. :)

Monday is chill out and veg in front of the telly day

Picking up the wifes bike tomorrow and resisting the urge to run it in for her before se gets back from work. Sunday if the weather holds out going for a ride down to the coast and Monday I've got a couple of flying lessons booked.

Interested to know what you think of the Sprint. It's on my list of "would love to have but..." :-)

Flying anything exciting - Sukoi 37?

As for what I'm doing at the weekend:

Gardening tomorrow - weather supposed to be rubbish
Stateley home and gardens in Mapledurham on Sunday
Monday - not really sure - see what transpires.

Have a good one all of you

Off to London town tomorrow, maybe the natural history museum, maybe notting hill carnival (don't know if thats any good) and then in to Soho for some beers and abusive waiters in Won Kei. Sunday off to see my folks. Monday, er, playing tourist trophy on the PS2 all day if the missus lets me...

Wow - must be quite an experience - looks like visibility would be excellent.

The vis is good when it's not hazy which been a problem this summer but it does get bloody hot in there when the suns out. As a little design feature is that the pipe to feed cold air into the cockpit runs over the oil cooler so you get warm air. Getting close to doing my first solo just have to do a few more hours and my avaition law exam (how dull is that book) and my medical which I must remember to book.

I like the idea of flying (tho not gliding), but I made a conscious decision not to learn because I thought I'd be disappointed - it wouldn't really be like Top Gun ! :-) Some things I think are better left as dreams (for me).

Notting hill carnival is cool if you don't mind being crammed in with loads of other folks, not being able to move and drinking loads of red stripe... so pretty cool all in all. saturday isn't the best day to go tho.

Since the carnival is only sunday and monday, you could end up wondering what all the fuss is about...

Bah weekends turned pants.

Got a call Saturady morning from the flying club, the plane I'm supposed to be flying has developed a fault with the flaps ( they won't raise) so it's been taken off to get fixed. went down to pick up the ST and the cheque hasn't cleared in my account yet so couldn't pay them. One very unhappy wife at home.

Tried telling her that she's now got a long weekend to do the housework rather than riding her new bike didn't go down to well..

Well we decided on the science museum but only got there at 4pm. Got to see some of Foggy's leathers that survived a 150mph crash, a spitfire in bits, some babbage machines and an unhealthy looking astronaut before they kicked us out. Will have to go back.

Oh, and in Soho the police had just shut down a brothel and put a sign outside that read "It may cost you £50 to come in here but will cost you £300 to get out". Thats way too cryptic for me? :?

I was off last week, and I'm off this week :) But I was at Reading too, which is why I've not done anything useful for 2 days.
