*Smug mode* I did!
I braved rain, filthy toilets and many, many drunken teenagers to see them. They were worth it :D

Ah the memories.

I saw them years ago, about '94 or so. Way before they went all 'Chris Rea' on us.

I sat right at the back of the venue so I couldn't see anything at all. Just shut my eyes and chilled for the whole set. Fantastic. The support band were terrible! Can't remember much about them other than they were wearing silver.

I was there too. Pearl Jam were genuinely great. Other highlights were Gogol Bordello, Muse and Jess than Jake.

Roll on Reading 07!

I saw them over 10 years ago at Finsbury Park, supporting Neil Young. Neil blew them away.

Neil Young, isn't he like some old hippy degenerate?

Just like me - I remember when he was in Crosby, Stills etc. those were the days - smelly afghan coats and cheescloth smock tops 8)

They've never really been that popular in the hit parade, daddy-o, but they're cool cats

Who sez hit parade these days?

PJ don't make videos, well they've made 3 but only the first one, Jeremy, was shown on MTV.

They made one for Do The Evolution...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BFUxsIBNLvA ;)

The video for Oceans is more like an early home movie, showing them surfing and stuff.

Single video theory is sessions for the Yield album.

As for that old dude Neil Young http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PvfnO7hphMI
PJ finished the Leeds gig with KORITFW.
In 1996 they made an album together, it's not bad...

They were ace at Reading... I wasn't expecting much of them, I've hardly listened to them since 10, just thought they'd become a bit of a joke since. Pleasantly surprised :)

Reading Odd One Out round: Daphne and Celeste, My Chemical Romance, Good Charlotte, 50 Cent.

(answer: They've all been bottled into tiny pieces at Reading, but big tough 50 Cent was the only one to run away.)

Aah, I saw them for the first and only time them on Jules Holland's show a few monts back - absolutely f***ing brilliant!

Apart from Muse, who were obvious champions, I thought Hundred Reasons were fantastic... They've more or less perfected their festival set now I reckon. Lots of other good stuff, though TBH I thought this was one of the weakest bills for a while. Still had a great time.

Like I've said they don't put much stock in the MTV generation style music career.
If you haven't heard much since 10 then you're about 7 (studio) albums behind. There are about 72 live albums, they even encouraged fans to bootleg the live shows.. Best summed up as the band that plays every gig like it might be their last :)

Brittany - yes been there a few times, we have friends in Brest.

Christina - now that's got me stumped...

More Mahler to be honest

In about 1902 it was, yes

Doubters - listen to the 5th movement of Mahler's 2nd symphony. If you haven't heard it before - you will scarcely believe your ears.

Incidentally I had a look at the video on youtube - it was pretty good 8)

The video was the work of Todd McFarlane, creator of the Spawn comic series.
