Having a bit of a clearout and found them under the bed. My mum and dad would be so ashamed, that's where normal people hide their porn, not their geekdom.

Anyway, I'm Ebaying them but if you want anything, drop me a line... All the Field Manuals (even the really rare one with the lawsuit mechs), loads of sourcebooks and scenario books. Tons of maps too.

Only kidding, I spent long enough playing D&D to be able to comment on geekiness!!

I ebay'd a old Warhammer book... the pages 100-150 had come out from the middle in a big section and was held together with tape... Some one paid 20 quid for it. I sold a perfect one for 60!...

Most of them where over 15 years old... you can sell anything on ebay.

Should really look out the old warhammer stuff... But I'm still quite attached to it :)

Well I made just over a ton on 2 books and a dragon... and I still have lots left... my brothers even got a orginal Space Hulk and I have a original fully paint 'blood bowl' team, plus lots more.

Ah, Blood Bowl, it was ace. I ran into a mate of my brother's a wee while back, he's running a league up here still. Like I need the temptation  Now, if I could find a Necromunda group, I'd happily backslide into geekdom, it was fantastic. Or Deadlands.

about......4 months ago?...I collected all the remaining GW stuff I had (Epic, 40K and warhammer), stuck it in a crate with all my paints, books , glue etc. walked into the local GW store and handed it to the guys behind the counter. They were most happy.

Now all I have to do is the same thing with my Battletech books and CCG cards AND the legion of bloodwars cards I have

That and the display only Transformers collection.

profit? pah, I just want rid

*Hand straight up*

Never had Transformers as a kid - always wanted them.

And I can take the others off your hands too if the proce is right.

Just let me know by PM what you want for the stuff and if the price is right you could be rid of them soon

:o

Turning out my loft the other day and I found original Warhammer rules, early 80's vintage I think. Also a first edition Warhammer RPG book - makes a good door stop or coffee table...

Never really played the games much but I used to love painting the figures.

Heh, I've still got a box of the CCG cards somewhere too. Might as well just put those in the recycling I think...

The WH RPG didn't sell that well though in good condition at 15...

My mate lent me someone else's old Warhammer rulebook last year to read (so I would get into the game and play with him). All I can say I never got through the whole book cos it was huge, forgot to return it as well.

Does anyone want to buy a big binder of MTG cards?

SoulKiss

Erm - PM me about the MTG cards - lol

Not actually interested, but have some information you may find interesting.

We'll see a story in the press in a few years time "London motorcyclist crushed by wargame book collection". "Mr S Kiss (aged 40) who lives with has parents in Vauxhall, began hoarding unwanted gaming materials after a chance encounter with a fellow hoarder on an internet forum led him further and further down the trail of addiction. Council workers had to use a +11 Shovel of Tunnelling to remove the body."

Nah I should be ok - all my gaming stuff is kept in the garage.

90% of the time I am in the garage I am in my biking protective gear.

Worst case scenario would be to be trapped under a pile, but then I would just use my mobile/phone/bluetooth/voicedialling setup to call for help.

Or send out the SV for help ala "Skippy"

David - looking at the above and seeing JUST how much of a geek he is........

Please tell me its because you are getting on/off the SV and not role playing/D&D etc reasons

I think I may still have the original WH40K sourcebook (in very good condition) somewhere, might be worth putting it up for sale.

Did anyone ever play the "Doomtown" card game? Best card game I ever played; Monopoly meet Necromunda, with hands of Poker used to settle fights. Genius.

Best game ever... Did you ever make it along to selwyg or the uk championships?

Nope; I only got into a year or two before they stopped making them and the only person I ever played it with regularly was my ex. Once we stopped seeing each other, I've not played it at all. The only card game the current GF plays is Rummikub.

I've still got about a dozen Doomtown decks in my old room at my parent's place. I made loads of Scoreboards, Ghostrock and Bullet Modifier counters in Paintshop and mounted them on card, so it was easy to keep track of everything during play. Tragic, I know: But as a fellow RPG player, I'm sure you'll understand.

I'm playing Monopoly with a few mates tonight (new "chip and pin" version), maybe I should try and get them into it. Last time I checked on ebay, unopened Doomtown card sets were dirt cheap...

...or perhaps we should bring a deck each to the next meet and have a quick game over lunch? :D

Heh, why not? :) I really miss it, great game. I keep on meaning to get in touch with some of my old group (at the last UK championships my mate Steve won, I was second ;) ) but it's never happened yet.

I am not aware of said card... Though I did always enjoy roleplay... Warhammer role play, Cyberpunk, and the original TMNT...

Warhammer RPG was/is cool. Really nice simple system to play around in, loads of scope for 'House Rules' and addaptation to different genres etc. Though yeah - the book is a bit of a doorstop.
As opposed to Rolemaster - all dice rolling and no roleplay.

I sold my original First Edition D&D box set for a fair bit ages ago. Few months ago I sold a single MTG card for £160 and a boxed collecters set for over £400!
God bless nerds with money is all I can say, they paid my bike insurance and my other bills that month. :D

I never really got that into Magic... So I took my cards to Gencon, walked up to a stall and said "How much for this", expecting maybe £30 or so. "Um, we can't pay for that lot this early in the day- maybe by 5pm, if we do good business?" Hmm. "OK, I'll come back later". £500. And they could've had the lot for a pint ;)
